Summary
- Kefla, a fusion of Kale and Caulifla, was the strongest mortal in Universe 6 during the Tournament of Power.
- Moro’s fusion with OG-73 resulted in a terrifying form that required Goku to use Perfected Ultra Instinct.
- Gogeta and Vegito are formed from Goku and Vegeta merging through different fusion methods and are tied as the series’ strongest fusions.
The topic of the most powerful mortals in Dragon Ball is a difficult one to answer due to the prospect of fusion in the series. While anyone can easily point to the Goku, Vegeta, or Frieza, the truth of the matter is that fusions will always hold this title due to the strengths of two fighters being joined together to make a singular, even more powerful warrior. The fighter’s strengths are not only added, but they’re further multiplied on top of that.
There have been many of these kinds of fusions in Dragon Ball, but only a few stand out as being the strongest of them all. Sure, the exact power of these characters is hard to quantify, but they are undoubtedly the strongest among the mortals of the universe. So, in this article, let’s go over the greatest fusions in the series and see exactly why they are so powerful.

Tournament of Power |
The Tournament of Power saw a contest between the multiverse’s strongest and most prominent warriors who were all far stronger than any of the villains Dragon Ball had had in the past. Universe 6 showed new Saiyans who had a lot of potential and, due to their differing nature from those of Universe 7, they were able to unlock the fabled Super Saiyan transformations with relative ease.
This is Kale plus Caulifla. We’re Kefla!
However, as the competition continued to get stiffer, Kale and Caulifla eventually underwent fusion through the Potara Earrings to form Kefla, an incredibly powerful Saiyan warrior who was strong enough to go against Ultra Instinct Omen. Although the anime and manga differ on her power level, the anime version was implied to be on the level of Super Saiyan Blue in her Super Saiyan state, forcing Goku to use his brand-new Divine Transformation to knock her out of the tournament.
Moro’s Strongest Form Was Terrifying

When he was first introduced, Moro was already an incredibly terrifying villain who had the unique power to strip entire planets of their lifeforce and consume it. Despite being a powerhouse who was able to outclass both Goku and Vegeta early on in the arc, he eventually got defeated by Vegeta, prompting him to resort to far more drastic measures to accrue massive power in a short amount of time.
I’ve consumed countless planets since our previous encounter!
This led to him absorbing OG-73, an Android with exceptional abilities to copy powers. Once Moro absorbed him, he became even more deadly since he retained all of his own strengths and abilities but also gained new ones, particularly Seven-Three’s combat efficiency. This made him a monstrously powerful fusion of two villains that required Goku to use his Perfected Ultra Instinct state.

Goku and Vegeta are known for two of the series’ most beloved fusions. Though the entire thing about these fusions is that they are essentially equal in strength and merely act as different methods of fusing, each comes with its strengths and weaknesses. The main advantage of becoming Gogeta is the stability of the fusion, which seems to last for a solid 30 minutes regardless of the power output of the resulting warrior. However, the disadvantage here is that the dance to birth the fusion is very complicated and time-consuming to perform.
We are Gogeta! Kakarot and Vegeta have merged together to take Broly down!
Gogeta, however, is an exceptionally powerful character who is tied with Vegito as the strongest mortal in the entire multiverse. Due to Goku and Vegeta having unlocked Super Saiyan Blue through their mastery of God Ki, Gogeta benefited from this power as he was able to easily defeat Broly without any meaningful effort. A popular fan theory states that each of these fusions takes after one of the constituents, and for Gogeta, this is likely Goku due to his kindness, incredible fighting prowess and technique.
Vegito Is The Original Saiyan Fusion
A Fusion Between Vegeta and Goku

Buu Saga |
Conversely from Gogeta, Vegito is the fusion born from the union of Goku and Vegeta through the Potara Earrings. In his debut, he was easily the most powerful character that fans had ever seen up until that point in the story, going on to humiliate Ultimate Buu. Just as it was for Gogeta, Vegito takes more after the personality of one of the constituents, in this case, Vegeta, which can be seen with his prideful attitude, the need to humiliate his opponents and offense-focused fighting style.
The merging of Vegeta and Kakarot needs a name! Vegito has a nice ring to it!
Many believe that Vegito is the strongest fusion in the entire franchise, but the truth of the matter is that he shares this title with Gogeta, since they are essentially the same person. The Potara Earrings allow for a quick and easy fusion but can’t sustain it if the power output of the warrior is too great, as was seen in the battle against Merged Zamasu. Still, though, in terms of sheer offensive strength, none can surpass Vegito.
