Activision has officially extended the Season 2 Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone after announcing a two-week delay to the game’s next season. After one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 began on January 28 and was initially scheduled to come to an end on March 20 but will now conclude on April 3.
On March 3, with just a little over two weeks left of the current season, Activision announced that Season 3 of Call of Duty had been delayed. In a new statement, the studio said that the upcoming season is going to be a “big moment” for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which is why Activision has made the decision to delay its release by an additional two weeks. There is some good news, however, as further details on Season 3 will be shared following Warzone‘s fifth anniversary on March 10. Season 3 is rumored to be bringing back Verdansk, and although the publisher has confirmed the game’s very first map will be returning in Spring, it has yet to announce an official release date.

Call of Duty Extends Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Battle Pass
Due to the delay of Season 3, Activision has officially extended the Season 2 Battle Pass for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. According to the in-game countdown, players now have until Thursday, April 3, to level up the Pass and unlock all of its rewards. Although the delay of Season 3 has sorely upset much of the Call of Duty community, it’s good news for fans who are behind on completing the current Battle Pass, as this now gives players an additional two weeks to ensure they unlock all of the new cosmetic items, weapon blueprints, double XP tokens, and much more.
As always, Call of Duty‘s Season 2 Battle Pass comes in various editions. For those looking to keep their COD Points for a rainy day, Season 2 comes with a free Battle Pass that allows players to unlock new weapons, such as the Cypher 091 Assault Rifle and PPSh-41 Submachine Gun, emblems, weapon charms, and more. However, purchasing the Battle Pass for 1,100 COD Points unlocks the ability to earn even more rewards, with a variety of operator skins, weapon blueprints, COD Points, XP tokens, and much more. There’s also the controversial Blackcell Battle Pass, which can only be purchased with real money and includes even more cosmetic items and additional benefits.
Call of Duty players who have already maxed out the Season 2 Battle Pass will have to wait another four weeks before they can jump into the new Pass. The good news is that Season 3 is shaping up to be Call of Duty‘s biggest to date. Previous leaks and rumors claim that Verdansk is set to make its triumphant return with the launch of Season 3, alongside some controversial Modern Warfare operators and a handful of iconic weapons, including the Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle, HDR Sniper Rifle, and more.
