Gible Drop Event Cards and Drop Rates
The Gible Drop Event brings five new Promo-A cards, though only two feature new stats and abilities, while the rest are simply new art variants of existing cards. Below is a list of the cards and their drop rates in Promo-A Vol. 5 packs:
- Cherrim (P-A 43): 23.84%
- Raichu (P-A 44): 15.82%
- Nosepass (P-A 45): 23.84%
- Gible (P-A 46): 12.66%
- Staraptor (P-A 47): 23.84%
The two exclusive cards in this event are Nosepass and Staraptor, each featuring updated stats and abilities:
- Nosepass – HP reduced from 80 to 60; its attack now relies on a coin flip that, if heads, prevents the opponent’s attack for one turn.
- Staraptor – HP reduced from 140 to 130; damage lowered from 130 to 90; new ability added: this Pokemon takes 30 less damage from Fighting-type attacks.
Only the Expert mode in the event guarantees a Promo-A pack as a reward. Other modes have drop rates ranging from 51% to 80%.

If you’re looking to farm Promo-A Vol. 5 packs during the event, a standard Celebi ex & Exeggutor ex deck is your best option. Since you’ll be facing four Garchomp ex-themed Fighting-type decks, a Grass-type lineup gives you a significant advantage. Alternatively, you can also dominate the event using a Leafeon ex & Celebi ex setup.
If you’re aiming to complete all Battle Tasks, you’ll need a no-ex deck. We’ve already compiled a list of several viable Pokemon TCG Pocket decks without ex cards, but the best option is the Magnezone & Hitmonlee setup, which offers strong early-game damage.
