Merry Meadow is one of the locations that will not be readily available for you at the start of Hello Kitty Island Adventure. In order to unlock it, you’ll need to complete several quests that only become available when you’ve raised your friendship with Pompompurin and My Melody. At the start of unlocking Merry Meadow in Island Adventure, you’ll only have access to the Merry Meadows Fields. To reach the other four areas, you’re going to need to grow special beanstalks from Giant Seeds.

How to Unlock All Giant Seeds

There are five Giant Seeds in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. You can only get one at a time, and it takes three days in real time to fully grow, and that’s only if you remember to water it.

Although you can collect the first Giant Seed as soon as you unlock Merry Meadow, you’ll want to make sure you’re level 14 with My Melody to unlock/start the “Flower Power” quest. You will receive the crafting plans for the Watering Can, which is a vital tool for gardening and watering the purple flower buds growing around the island.

When you first water a planted Giant Seed, it’ll grow a sprout. Watering it the next day causes it to grow even larger, but not enough to access the next section of Merry Meadow. Watering it on the third day will enable you to climb it and explore more of Merry Meadow.

While the images below go into more detail about how to obtain the Giant Seeds, here’s a general rundown of how to get them:

Merry Meadows Fields

Merry Meadows Plaza

The first Giant Seed is found on one of the islands in the pond in Merry Meadows Fields. The patch of dirt you can plant it in is nearby.

Remember to water it three days in a row.

Merry Meadows Overlook

The second Giant Seed can be obtained from reaching level 12 with Wish me mell. This will unlock the “Care Packages” quest, which, at the end, you’ll receive x1 Giant Seed from Cinnamoroll. Planting and growing this seed will unlock the Merry Meadows Overlook, which also has the Greenhouse.

Merry Meadows Overlook, Electric Introductions (Puzzle Challenge)

Meadows Temple/Meadows Crafting Station

You’ll need to open the Puzzle Challenge room between the two ponds on the western side of Meadows Overlook. This requires you to channel electric through various switches to open the challenge room door. Inside the room’s chest is the third Giant Seed.

Giant Seed Location #4

Cloud Island

Meadows Gazebo

Refer to the above image for the exact location of the Giant Seed.

The next seed you’ll find is on Cloud Island. If you’ve completed the “Stargazing” quest, then you already have access to Cloud Island. However, you’ll need to start and complete “Cloud Cabins” to unlock the Cloud Rides that lead to the Cloud Visitor Cabins. “Cloud Cabins” unlocks when you’re level 10 friendship with Kiki.

From the island with the Outer Cloud Cabin Mailbox (southeast island from the Cotton Candy machine), use a Thermal Potion and glide south to a small island by the Cloud Rides’ tracks. You can also have Cinnamoroll as your Companion and use the Soar Ability to reach it. On this island is a chest with the fourth Giant Seed.

Cloud Island*. * Only appears after breaking the boulder covering the dirt patch in Meadows Gazebo area.

Shortcut to Cloud Island

The final Giant Seed appears on the small islands north of the island with the Outer Cloud Cabin Mailbox. However, unless you’ve broken the boulder covering the dirt patch in Meadows Gazebo, it won’t appear. Make sure you’ve fully grown the fourth Giant Seed in the Meadows Temple area before going to check Cloud Island. If you’ve already done this, then there should be a boulder on the northern island. Break it with the pickaxe to get the last Giant Seed.

Electric Introductions Puzzle Room Walkthrough

How to Get Giant Seed #3

hello kitty island adventure electric introductions puzzle room

Electric Introductions is the puzzle room challenge you can attempt after planting and growing two of the Giant Seeds. When you enter the room, you’ll notice two blocks glowing with electric energy. Look closely, and you’ll see one of the blocks is buried into the ground. You can’t move this one, but you can move the other one nearby.

You need to activate the puzzle room’s switches with electricity to open the door leading to the Giant Seed.

There are three immovable electric blocks and three movable blocks total:

  1. At the start, you have two movable electric blocks. Pick up one, and place the block in the outmost part of the electric current. If done properly, its reach should hit the middle switch, which should create a bridge leading to an isolated, movable electric block.
  2. Cross the bridge, grab the block, and place it on the outer ring of the middle, immovable block.
  3. Set the cube on the ring of the switch that created the bridge. It should be placed between the middle immovable block, and the last immovable block, which is powering the door.

You can refer to the images below for a step-by-step visual process:

Where to Plant Giant Seeds

You can’t plant Giant Seeds in regular flower patches. Each section has a large patch of dirt where you can grow the Beanstalks. They’re easy to spot, but here’s where to find them anyway:

Beanstalk Location #1

This patch of dirt is on the island against the wall in Merry Meadows Fields. It’s northwest from where you picked up the first Giant Seed.

Beanstalk Location #2

The second patch of dirt is just beyond the Seed Maker Machine, between the two sakura trees behind the flower patch.

Beanstalk Location #3

The third patch of dirt is against the eastern wall of Meadows Outlook. As soon as you climb the second beanstalk, look northeast and you’ll find the third patch.

Beanstalk Location #4

hello kitty island adventure beanstalk 4

The fourth patch is on the high wall between Meadows Temple and Meadows Crafting Station. In order to reach it, you’re going to need to climb the wall between Meadows Temple and the first flower patch. You will need Pompompurin’s Pudding Pants Ability to reach the top of the wall. When you’ve reached the top, glide southeast to the platform with the fourth dirt patch.

Refer to the red dot and red arrow on the above image.

Beanstalk Location #5

The final dirt patch is covered by a boulder right before the bridge leading to the Gazebo Mailbox. Breaking this boulder with the pickaxe will cause the final Giant Seed to spawn on Cloud Island, so be sure to grab it. Unlike the last four Giant Seeds, this Giant Seed will grow all the way to Cloud Island, creating a shortcut between the two areas.
