Instead, it’s Majima’s glam that will buff his stats. With his thumbs and fingers all free for different rings, there are plenty of ways you can customize Majima’s build to impact how he performs in combat. There are multiple rings available when exploring or in shops, but some are much better than others.
10
Sacrifice Ring
Little Finger Only
The Sacrifice Ring is pretty easy to attain, being a gift from Kei once you make 25 friends on Aloha Links, and while it’s useful, do not equip it as soon as you pick it up. Instead, you’ll want to save it for if you’re really struggling in certain encounters.
This little finger ring will give a small buff to all stats except Attack, but it’s notable for reviving Majima once he runs out of health. The big catch to this is that it only works once, so you’ll want to make sure you only have it equipped when you’re in a particularly tough bind.
9
Cutlass Ring
Thumb Only
While a lot of the rings in Pirate Yakuza will just have a passive impact on your stats, there are others that have a more active impact that can drastically shift Majima’s play style. One of these is the Cutlass Ring that improves the arc of the Cutlass Boomerang attack in Sea Dog Style.
On top of this improvement of an already useful skill, it also gives you an impressive 70 points for Attack, and an even better 150 points for Defense. It’s a reasonable $9,800, and you can find it in the House of Wushu or Grayson’s Weapons.
8
Ring Of Blossom
Thumb Only
Reputation is one of the more important forms of currency in Pirate Yakuza. Not only do you need it to unlock abilities, but it also raises your overall reputation rank, letting you unlock better crew members for the Goro Pirates.
That’s why the Blossom Ring is one of the best rings to get early on. On top of a useful 180 points for Defense and then an extra 50 for Blade and Bullet Defense, you’ll also get a boost to all reputation gained when wearing it. You’ll need to rack up 1500 points in Dragon Kart to buy it from the shop (hidden inside a treasure chest), but this can be done as soon as you’re set loose in Honolulu.
7
Ring Of The Ocean
Little Finger Only
If you’re looking to get more powerful in Pirate Yakuza, one of the best activities to invest time into is raiding enemy camps on different islands in the open seas. One of the first areas you’re able to explore on your ship is the Waters Near Rich Island, and it just so happens that one of the best rings is hidden here.
Ensure you make a stop at Koko Island as soon as possible since you’ll find the Ring of the Ocean. For a ring that you can get so early on, you’ll get an impressive stat boost, with 100 points for Defense, and then 20 for Blade and Bullet Defense. On top of this, you’ll also get an increase in burn resistance too.
6
Vermillion Phoenix Ring
Thumb Only
There are a few rings in Pirate Yakuza that are worth seeking out to get as a set, since if you have all equipped together, you’ll get a useful bonus buff to make Majima even more powerful. One of these sets is the Four Gods, including the Vermillion Phoenix, White Tiger, Azure Dragon, and Black Tortoise Rings. When you have all four, Majima will get an impressive resistance to status ailments.

Does Majima get his own Bakamitai karaoke moment in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii?
While you should aim to have all four equipped for the best results, the one you should prioritize is the Vermillion Phoenix Ring for Majima’s thumb. It has a useful 100 points for Attack, but an even more chunky 200 points for Defense. You’ll find it for sale in the Ganryujima Armory for $8,500.
5
Ring Of Candescence
Little Finger Only
If you’re looking for a quick way to gain reputation points so Majima can have the best abilities and crew members, then treasure hunting is one of the most efficient methods. While most of these treasures simply equate to an exchange for money and reputation points, there are also some rings hidden within this prize pool that can be equipped.
One of the easiest to obtain (not needing any sailing) is the Ring of Candescence, which is found on a rooftop in West Waikiki near L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. You’ll get a great 120 points for Defense, and 50 points for Attack and Blade Defense, all with a small increase in shock resistance.
4
Chain Hook Ring
Thumb Only
The Sea Dog Style of combat in Pirate Yakuza takes a little while to get used to since you don’t unlock all of the abilities it contains right away, but once you finally get the Chain Hook, the style has everything unlocked.
This grapple attack is a great way to crowd control in combat, and to make it even better you can equip the Chain Hook Ring that gives you an extra follow-up attack on enemies who you use the hook on. It also has a fantastic spread of 150 points for Attack and Defense. While it’s expensive, the $12,000 it costs at Honolulu Dandies and Penalty Box is well worth it if you love using the Chain Hook in combat.
3
Ring Of Leaves
Index, Middle, Or Ring Finger
While Pirate Yakuza’s take on Honolulu is sizeable, the game’s core story doesn’t actually force you to explore all of it, and you’ll only need to cover the whole map if you’re looking to squeeze all the side content out of the game.
This means that you can easily miss Shipper’s Wharf, which is a shame, since on top of all the lingering bounties, there’s also the Ring of Leaves in a treasure chest on one of the rooftops. It gives you an impressive 180 boost to your Defense and then 50 for every other stat too.
2
Pistol Ring
Thumb Only
One of the first new attacks that Majima will unlock for his Sea Dog Style is the pistol. The attack can be a real lifesaver, being Majima’s best long-range attack, perfect for finishing off enemies when it’s too dangerous for Majima to get close.

While there are ways to improve it by buying abilities, you could also equip the Pistol Ring, which drastically decreases its charge time, making it a lot more useable in combat. It’ll also give you a handy 70 points for Attack and 150 for Defense. It’s relatively affordable during the mid-game at $9,800 at Bullet Hell Armory or Juliet’s Brilliant Designs.
1
Snake Ring
Index, Middle, Or Ring Finger
Some of the most valuable rings in Pirate Yakuza are the rings that fit Majima’s index, middle, or ring fingers, since most of the best are only for his thumbs or little fingers, which of course, are a lot more limited.
The Snake Ring is one of the best for this slot, with a beefy 160 points of Attack, 60 for Blade Defense, and 40 for standard Defense and Bullet Defense. It’s also part of a set with the Hannya and Sakura Rings, and when you have all three equipped you’ll increase Majima’s attack speed in Mad Dog Style, making this form of combat even more chaotic and aggressive (much to the displeasure of Majima’s enemies).
