Invincible has emerged as one of the most popular animated superhero series on streaming services, and for good reason. It’s got a great story, with a diverse roster of superpowered characters. While Viltrumites are the main focus of the overarching plot in the series, it has plenty of powerful characters that aren’t Viltrumites and can go toe-to-toe with them.

One thing the series creator Robert Kirkman is known for is his ingenuity with superpowers and brilliant approach to power scaling with his characters. Not only can these non-Viltrumites take on Viltrumite foes, they can also defeat them handily in combat.

Battle Beast

A Powerful Warrior Capable of Defeating the Strongest Viltrumites

Thokk, or Battle Beast as he’s more popularly known, first appeared as a mercenary hired by the crime syndicate boss Machine Head. Despite being introduced alongside a few street-level characters, he’s one of the strongest beings in the Invincible universe.

Battle Beast was originally designated the guardian of his planet, and defeated many powerful threats. Through this, he gained a lust for combat and now explores the universe in search of powerful fighters capable of defeating him — or, at the very least, giving him a good fight. Currently, he’s even capable of defeating the strongest Viltrumites.

Atom Eve

Without Her Mental Blocks, She’s Debatably The Most Powerful Character

As Invincible’s love interest, Samantha Eve Wilkinson, or Atom Eve as she’s commonly known, is arguably one of the most powerful characters in the entire series. Her powers are similar to those of the Scarlet Witch or Jean Grey from Marvel’s X-Men roster. She can manipulate reality at an atomic level.

Unfortunately for her, the scientist who experimented on her and ended up giving her these powers placed powerful mental blocks on her, which can only be lifted under dire circumstances where her life is threatened. But when these blocks are lifted, she can do pretty much anything she wants. This makes her one of the most formidable characters in the series.

Mister Liu

The Magical Dragon Inside Him is Nigh Indestructible

Introduced in Season 3, Mister Liu is the leader of one of the largest international crime syndicates in Invincible. In terms of appearance, he’s not very intimidating. But he’s got a dangerous trick up his sleeve: he’s the host of an ancient immortal dragon with magical powers.

As the host of the dragon, he keeps its power under control. But if he’s killed, the Dragon is free and its powers are unchecked, making it a far more formidable threat than any other being in the series. In the comics, there’s a sequence that shows even Omni-Man struggling to fight the dragon. It handily defeats Invincible, even without the host being killed.

Space Racer

His Gun Is a Lethal Weapon Against The Strongest Viltrumites

Space Racer has only appeared as a flashback from Omni-Man’s stories in the series, but he is one of the most powerful characters, as viewers will find out when he eventually appears. On his own, he’s not that much of a threat. He’s loosely based on Ghost Rider, and he roams around the galaxy on a hoverbike.

What makes him such a formidable threat is his weapon, which Omni-Man refers to as the Infinity Ray. He uses a gun that fires an indestructible blast capable of shooting through anything, including entire planets. A single hit from his gun can also be lethal to even the strongest Viltrumite. If anyone else tries to use his gun, it flies back to Space Racer.

Monster Girl

The Series’ Version of Hulk Has Limitless Potential

Monster Girl is a superhero who gets recruited into the Guardians of the Globe after Omni-Man kills the original group of superheroes, and she’s Invincible‘s version of Hulk. But her powers have a unique twist: she gets younger every time she transforms into a monster. There is also the added caveat that every time she gets younger, the monster de-ages as well, giving it a younger, stronger body.

This gives Monster Girl limitless potential, and possibly also makes her immortal. She’s already quite physically strong at the time of her introduction, but the fact that she gets stronger every time she transforms makes her one of the most powerful characters in the series.

The Immortal

Earth’s Strongest Non-Viltrumite Superhero

The Immortal may not have impressive showings in the series, but he is quite powerful and certainly capable of taking on lower-level Viltrumites comfortably. The series goes out of its way to show the viewers that he’s not as strong as Invincible or Omni-Man, getting handily defeated every time he challenges one of them to a fight.

But there are a few clear indicators that the Immortal is still a very strong fighter. He’s one of the few non-Viltrumites that can make Omni-Man bleed with his attacks. During Omni-Man’s ambush on the Guardians of the Globe, he and War Woman nearly beat him unconscious. While he does go down rather easily to Omni-Man’s blows, Nolan is one of the strongest Viltrumites. This means Immortal can take on weaker Viltrumites.

War Woman

The Amazonian Warrior Landed Hefty Blows on Omni-Man

War Woman is a version of Wonder Woman in Invincible​​​​​​. She’s an Amazonian warrior with super strength, flight, and a massive mace for a weapon. While she was killed by Omni-Man the beginning of the series, she was clearly depicted as one of the strongest superheroes on the Earth.

War Woman was one of the heavy-hitters during Omni-Man’s ambush on the Guardians of the Globe alongside the Immortal. Her blows dealt significant damage to Omni-Man, who is one of the strongest Viltrumites in the series.

Allen the Alien

His Zenkai Boosts Make Him the Strongest Non-Viltrumite in the Series

Allen the Alien has become one of the most popular characters in the series. Voiced by Seth Rogan, he’s got a great sense of humor and an undeniable charm about him. He’s a Unopan whose planet was conquered by the Viltrumites, and he works for the Coalition of Planets to stop the Viltrumite Empire.

Unopans are a species in the Invincible universe that share a trait with Saiyans from Dragon Ball, particularly one where they get stronger every time they survive a near-death experience. Allen, being his planet’s only representative, undergoes several such power boosts throughout the comics. By the end of the series, he’s the only character capable of keeping up with Invincible, making him the strongest non-Viltrumite.
