In Monster Hunter games, Hunter Rank is a system generally tied to players’ progression through the game, and in Monster Hunter Wilds it’s no different. Hunter Rank generally represents how far a player is in the game, especially in Low Rank. But in High Rank, Hunter Rank works a bit differently – and has a higher Hunter Rank cap.

What Is Hunter Rank?
Hunter Rank Represents Your Character Level
In Monster Hunter Wilds, Hunter Rank is both a representation of your character’s prowess, and a stat that unlocks new content as you raise it. To see your current Hunter Level, open up your ‘Hunter Profile’ on the ‘Info’ tab of the menu. Then tab to the right to see your Equipment and Status screen. Your current HR level will be listed below your character’s name at the top of the Status display.
As you raise your Hunter Rank, Monster Hunter Wilds players will unlock higher-level monsters to fight, stronger gear to equip, and new optional and side content to take on.
What’s The Max Hunter Rank In Monster Hunter Wilds?

This allows for practically infinite progression in the endgame, but during the main campaign missions, the Monster Hunter Wilds max Hunter Rank is capped at Level 15, the max Hunter Rank for the Low Rank portion of the game before rolling credits.
After finishing the game, this cap will unlock as players unlock endgame and High Rank Monster Hunter Wilds content.
