This is the first time these two teams have faced off in this tournament. G2 Esports has defeated Trace Esports, Team Liquid, Team Vitality, and EDward Gaming. They are the first team within VALORANT Esports to qualify through Ascension and will play in the finals of VALORANT Masters.
Since they arrived in VCT Americas, they have become the team to watch out for. Last year, Riot Games introduced a new ruling for teams that qualified for VCT Ascension. They must be eligible for VALORANT Champions to maintain their spot in the league. After signing jawgemo this season, G2 Esports went on to win the VCT Americas season. In the eyes of many, this is the team to beat.
T1, on the other hand, went through a significant roster shuffle this season. They signed players from Gen G and DRX to make the Korean SuperTeamm. The start of their season was one to watch out for, as they cruised through the upper bracket of the VCT Pacific Kickoff, only to lose to DRX during the grand finals.

We believe there are a few players on each team to watch out for. From all their matches during the playoffs stage of the tournament, it can be seen that these two teams adapt the best. Each team has its own identity and understanding of its playstyle.
Within G2 Esports, one needs to look out for jawgemo and trent. They have been two of the best players in this event. We have seen jawgemo play Yoru on multiple maps to perfection. He has used the agent with different playstyles on different maps. Thus providing a form of unpredictability to his gameplay.
Trent, on the other hand, has been his team’s primary initiator. On Tejo, we saw carnage during the event. Punishing anyone who fails to adapt to his abilities.
Within T1, the players to watch out for are BuZz and Meteor. BuZz has been the team’s primary duelist. It is due to his controlled chaos style of play that we have seen T1 be able to dominate this much.
Meteor, on the other hand, is one of the best players until the very end. He is another flex player within T1. A point to note is that Meteor has previously been in both VALORANT Masters events in 2024, winning and losing one.
