New Haikyuu Movie Announced
Reveal Came During The Haikyuu Event
The Haikyu!! series is widely beloved by fans around the world. Fans of the series were sat tight for new content and information for upcoming movies and anime releases. Fans got just that in the most recent Haikyu!! event, called Next Step. This event took place today on March 2, 2025, where fans could either attend the event in Japan physically, or watch a live stream online. Huge reveals were made, and fans are very excited for the future, to say the least.
Undoubtedly, the biggest reveal of the day for Haikyu!! was the announcement of the next movie, which is highly anticipated as it continues on the story where it left off from the last movie, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle. In that movie, Karasuno took on their long rivals, Nekoma, and won after a tough match.

Now, the next movie for Haikyu that was announced is titled HAIKYU!!: “VS The Little Giant”. This movie will feature the next match that Karasuno will undertake, which will be one of their hardest ever. This match will see Karasuno take on Kamomedai. Kamomedai is special, as their top player, Kōrai Hoshiumi, is short, just like Hinata.

It’s important to note that this movie won’t be the end of the Haikyu!! series, as it’s pretty much confirmed there will be more to come after.
When Will The New Haikyu!! Movie Release?
No Release Date Confirmed For Now
Fans are very excited about the newest Haikyu movie, HAIKYU!!: “VS The Little Giant”, but for now, no release date has been confirmed. When the initial release date is confirmed, it will only be specifically for Japan, and other countries will have to wait a few months for an international release. The North American release usually takes a few more months compared to the Japanese one, while in other countries could take up to a year for the movie to drop.
