One Piece chapter 1141 dropped recently, and the manga revealed some absolutely incredible content this week as well. As is usually the case, Oda dropped a ton of exciting information for the fans, and quite a lot of that was centered around the character of Loki, who is also known as the Accursed Prince. Fans know Loki to be a vital character to the Elbaf arc, and while he spent most of the time being chained to the tree, now, he’s been set free, which means that his involvement is only going to get bigger, and at the same time, he will most definitely start showing more of his powers.

As Loki was freed in One Piece chapter 1141, fans also got a better look at his hammer, the Ragnir. Of course, the vast majority of the powers of Loki’s Ragnir remain unknown as of now, but, fans already know that this weapon will be doubly special, and that its powers are going to be staggering, based on how much Loki has been hyped by Oda in the early parts of Elbaf.
How Loki Was Finally Freed
- Luffy and Zoro Secured The Key For Loki
- Loki Was Finally Freed
One Piece chapter 1141 gave fans some absolutely massive reveals, and while it was quite easily a big chapter, fans most certainly didn’t expect to see Loki being freed as early and as quickly as he was. After having secured the key from Scopper Gaban, Luffy and Zoro immediately headed off the Underworld of Elbaf, south it was admittedly rather un-Oda-like to have them reach the Underworld so quickly, given how massive Elbaf is. Perhaps, this is due to Oda losing quite a lot of time from breaks and other interruptions, leading to the pacing being a lot better than before. Regardless, in One Piece chapter 1141, fans saw Luffy and Zoro in the Underworld, arguing about what to do about Loki. While Luffy clearly wanted to free him immediately, Zoro wanted to make sure that Loki wasn’t going to trick them and kick him right on his injury.
Well, I’m afraid you’re too late. He’s already free. — Zoro
Of course, Loki will remember this, which means things likely won’t end well for Zoro here. At the end of the chapter, however, Zoro accepted Luffy’s order to free Luffy, since he is the captain after all, but he still kept one Seastone cuff on his leg, just in case. Fans also saw the New Giant Warrior Pirates drop from the sky in an attempt to stop Luffy and Zoro from freeing Loki, but at the end of the day, it was already too late as Loki was freed. In an incredibly majestic final panel, fans saw Loki stand up despite carrying several injuries that Shamrock inflicted on him, and at the same time, being bound by a Seastone chain on his foot. The very first thing he did after being released was grab his beloved hammer, Ragnir.
What Is Ragnir in One Piece?
Loki’s Legendary Hammer With Immense Power
The Ragnir is a legendary hammer in the One Piece world that Oda highlighted for the first time in One Piece Chapter 1141. However, this weapon was clearly visible before Loki was even freed. In fact, we theorized about Loki’s hammer long ago, and now, it is clear that he does indeed have one and he intends to use it soon enough. As mentioned earlier, the very first thing that Loki did upon being freed was grab ahold of his hammer. According to the people around him, including Luffy, this was absurd given the injuries he was carrying, and the fact that still had Seastone on him.
Stop it, Loki, put Ragnir down! — Hajrudin
It was Hajrudin who made it clear to the fans that the name of Loki’s weapon is Ragnir. The literal translation for Ragnir is “Iron Thunder,” meaning that this weapon has to do with lightning and that it is incredibly powerful. The fact that this weapon is named also likely means that it is special in Elbaf. Quite clearly, this hammer is inspired by Mjolnir, which is Thor’s legendary hammer. Given how durable Thor’s hammer is, it is no surprise to know that Loki’s Ragnir is going to be a mighty powerful weapon as well.

One Piece: Oda Is About To Reveal Loki’s Legendary Devil Fruit Soon
Loki’s devil fruit power is about to be revealed. Its secret could lie in nuclear power.
It must be noted that Loki was chained with his weapon, Ragnir. Whereas he could’ve easily been separated from his weapon, that wasn’t the case. This is quite curious and implies that Loki’s weapon may be inseparable from him, or that only Loki is worthy of wielding this weapon. Otherwise, it doesn’t make much sense to keep his weapon with him when he is imprisoned. This once again goes to highlight the legendary nature of the weapon, as not just anyone can wield it, and what’s more, Loki can easily wield it even when he’s injured. He can infuse it with his Haki and produce dangerous lightning strikes, strong enough to destroy even Elbaf, as it was made clear recently that lightning and fire are two of Elbaf’s biggest weaknesses.
It must also be noted that Ragnir appears to be a black hammer. This raises the possibility of it having blackened with Haki usage. Just as there exist black blades, perhaps a black hammer can exist as well, which would be a great showing of the fact that Loki’s potential, as well as the durability of the hammer itself.
How Strong Is Loki With Ragnir?
Loki Should Be As Strong As An Emperor
Even without Ragnir, Loki should be an absolute monster in battle and this goes without saying. However, with Ragnir, Loki will be a step above the rest. Firstly, Loki’s own strength is mesmerizing. When Shamrock attacked Loki, he clearly stated that Loki’s chances of survival were very low, meaning it was a deadly attack. Loki was chained and couldn’t even defend himself. Yet, he stood up as if nothing happened. In this injured state, he grabbed Ragnir, and now, he’s about to let loose. This display in itself is absurd enough to call Loki an anomaly, even for someone like Luffy, who is already a Yonko. Loki himself is a Yonko level individual, but his weapon only boosts him even further. This is clear from the fact that the first thing Hajrudin said to him was to put down the Ragnir. Clearly, the Ragnir is just as dangerous as Loki, especially when paired with him, and it just goes to show that Loki could prove to be an unstoppable monster.
If Loki didn’t have any injuries and was freed of Seastone, which means that he wouldn’t have his injuries, then perhaps Loki could’ve taken on the whole Monster Trio by himself. As he is, however, it’ll be impossible for him.
