Rune Slayer is an action-packed MMORPG in Roblox, where you will explore a vast world, battle dangerous enemies, and collect powerful runes. As you progress, getting a Mount becomes essential — it drastically improves movement speed and helps you travel efficiently. Without one, you’d be stuck running everywhere, which is both slow and dangerous.
Still, you won’t be able to get the Mount until you fulfill certain conditions and tasks, and until you get the saddle. In this guide, we will break down exactly how to obtain a Mount and what you need to do to unlock one as quickly as possible.
How To Obtain A Mount
Mounts in Rune Slayer aren’t separate creatures you can buy. Instead, they are pets that you have already tamed. Mounts give you an advantage in mobility, making long-distance travel much more convenient, so having them is definitely beneficial. But before you can jump on a mount, you need to fulfill a few requirements.
First, you must reach level 20. If you haven’t hit this point yet, keep completing quests and engaging in battles to level up. Second, you must have a pet. If you don’t have one yet, catch a wild animal using the appropriate taming techniques. Here’s how to do it:
- First, find the animal you want to tame.
- Attack it once. This is necessary to start the process of taming it.
- Next, pick up and hold a food item that the animal you want to tame likes. For example, for bears it is honey, or apples for deer.
- Holding the food item, approach the animal, and you will see a red heart above its head. Keep holding the item and wait for the heart to grow to the end.
- If everything goes well, the animal will fall to the ground, after which it becomes your pet. Otherwise the heart above its head will turn black, which will signal failure.
When these conditions are met, you’re already halfway there, and all you have to do is equip the saddle on your pet.
How To Get A Saddle
To turn your pet into a mount, you will need a saddle, which can be obtained by completing a quest from Jimmy the Stable Master NPC in Wayshire. This quest will be available after you reach level 20, so once you do, go to the stables to talk to him. You need to pick up a package from Jimmy the Stable Master and deliver it to another stable master in Ashenshire.
So, after you get the package, head to the northern exit of Wayshire and follow the path further. This path will lead you to Greatwood Forest, which is not far from Ashenshire.
Ashenshire is quite an unusual city, as it is completely located between the trees of the local forest. To get there, you will need to climb up a rope. Finally, once you get to Ashenshire, look for Madonna The Stable Master NPC in the south of the town to give her the package.
Once you’ve done that, head back to Wayshire and talk to Jimmy the Stable Master NPC again to complete the quest and get the saddle as a reward. To use it, approach the pet you have tamed and press the E key.
