All Choices In Chapter 14
Views: 0

In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage‘s fourteenth chapter, Phone a Friend, Swann has the option to call each of her three friends: Autumn, Nora, or Kat. It’s a fun scene for the ’90s kids in the audience, who get to remember what it was like to have to dial your friend’s number manually on a touch tone phone.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – This Old House Choices Guide

It’s time to tidy up the old house in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

But, you can only talk to one per playthrough, and this conversation plays a role in strengthening your relationship with whichever girl you choose. In this guide, we’ll go over all three conversations and point out which choices will have a positive, negative, or neutral effect on the friend you’re talking to.

As usual, you can choose to stay silent. It will advance the conversation, so you may skip some dialogue options, but it will only have a neutral effect on your relationships.

Talking To Autumn

A dialogue choice from a conversation with Autumn is presented in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

When you call Autumn, you’ll get her mom, who sounds happy to talk to you. Once you get on the phone with Autumn, you have two greeting options (“Hey!” and “Sup, home skillet!”) and both are neutral.

After that, you get into discussing the power outage that hit during movie night the previous evening. You have two options:

I was scared when the power went out.

Positive

It felt like we were in a horror movie.

Neutral

Autumn wants to talk about the movie the girls are making together, and Swann can downplay her work and talk about how good her friends are or take pride in what she’s done so far. Autumn is happy with either.

I’m proud of my video.

Positive

Thanks to you.

Positive

Then, you look ahead to hanging out at the cabin that night. You have two possible responses:

I can’t wait to see you.

Positive

I can’t wait to shoot more footage.

Neutral

Now, it’s time for the secret. Each of the girls has multiple secrets to share with you. In every case, you can also opt out of hearing the dirt, which will have different outcomes depending on the girl’s personality.

If it’s a secret, you shouldn’t tell me.

Positive

A secret about Nora?

Neutral

A secret about Kat?

Neutral

Autumn responds well to Swann turning down the juicy gossip, but it will skip the conversation through the next few dialogue choices.

If you ask for a secret about Nora or Kat, Autumn will ask you to promise not to tell anyone. You can promise, which gets a positive response, or stay silent, which gets a neutral response. Either way, Autumn will tell you the secret.

Autumn’s Secret About Nora

If you ask for a secret about Nora, Autumn will tell you that Nora stopped to pee on the way home from the cabin and got spotted by a boy while doing it. You have two response options:

Gross.

Neutral

That’s hilarious.

Positive

Autumn’s Secret About Kat

If you ask for a secret about Kat, Autumn will tell you that Kat got a lecture from her mom because she stayed out late with you. Again, you have two responses:

That’s hilarious.

Negative

Her mom sounds mean.

Positive

Regardless of which you picked (or if you skipped the secret entirely), Autumn will ask to walk to the cabin with you. You can decide to invest in your friendship or get some introvert time:

Yeah, let’s walk together.

Positive

I’ll meet you there.

Negative

As the phone call closes out, you can choose to say “Bye!” which will get a neutral response from Autumn, or “Later babe!” which gets a positive response.

Talking To Nora

In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Swann talks to Nora on the phone while laying on her bed.

If you call Nora, youll get her rather formal sounding father, but he’ll hand the phone to Nora quickly. As with Autumn, you have two greeting options, but both get a neutral response. From there, it’s time to talk about the power outage and you have two responses:

That power outage was kind of exciting.

Negative

I was scared weren’t you.

Positive

Next, Nora turns to talking about the movie. She’s excited about it, and you can compliment her specifically or emphasize how proud you are of the video project as a whole:

Thanks to you!

Positive

I’m proud of my video.

Neutral

As the conversation moves on to meeting at the cabin, Swann has two things she can be looking forward to:

I can’t wait to see you.

Positive

I can’t wait to shoot more footage.

Negative

Now, it’s time for a secret. As with Autumn, you can opt to hear a secret about either girl, or opt out of hearing a secret entirely.

Autumn told you a secret.

Neutral

Kat told you a secret.

Neutral

If it’s a secret, you shouldn’t tell me.

Negative

If you stay silent or pick the last option, you’ll skip to Nora asking if you want to walk with her to the cabin. If you decide to hear a secret, you can choose to promise not to tell (positive) or stay quiet. Either way, Nora will spill.

Nora’s Secret About Autumn

If you ask for a secret about Autumn, Nora will tell you that a boy went to Autumn’s house the night before. She says she bets they hooked up.

I bet you’re right.

Positive

No way!

Neutral

Nora’s Secret About Kat

If you ask for a secret about Kat, Nora will tell you that Kat’s period came early and it made a huge mess.

Is she okay?

Neutral

Ew! That’s crazy!

Neutral

Whatever your choices about the secret, Nora wants to walk to the cabin with you.

I’ll meet you there.

Negative

Yeah let’s walk together.

Positive

Talking To Kat

Swann from Lost Records: Bloom & Rage lies on her bed and talks to Kat on the phone.

If you grew up before smartphones, calling Kat may give you flashbacks. When you call her, you get her older sister Dylan, who is mean to Swann for calling and snide to Kat. Once you get your pal on the phone, you have two greeting options, both of which are neutral.

Once you get into the meat of the conversation, you get to talking about the power outage.

The power outage was crazy.

Positive

Weren’t you scared?

Negative

Next, it’s time to talk about the video. More than the other two girls, Kat wants you to be proud of your work and it shows in her reactions to your possible responses here:

Thanks to you!

Neutral

I’m proud of my video.

Positive

After that, the conversation turns to the upcoming trip to the cabin:

I can’t wait to see you!

Positive

I can’t wait to shoot more footage.

Neutral

Now it’s time for Kat to tell you a secret, and her gossip focuses on what the other girls are saying behind your back.

Nora told you a secret?

Neutral

Autumn told you a secret?

Neutral

If it’s a secret, you shouldn’t tell me.

Negative

If you opt out of the secret, actively or by choosing to stay silent, the conversation will skip ahead to Kat asking you to walk with her to the cabin.

Kat’s Secret About Nora

If you choose a secret about Nora, Kat will tell you an opinion that Nora holds about Swann: that her natural deoderant doesn’t work.

She always stinks!

Neutral

What?

Neutral

Kat’s Secret About Autumn

If you opt for a secret about Autumn, Kat will tell you that Autumn thinks you’re too obsessed with filming.

I don’t mean to ignore anyone.

Neutral

I don’t always want to talk.

Positive

Whether you chose a secret or not, the conversation will conclude with Kat asking Swann to walk with her.

I’ll meet you there.

Negative

Yeah let’s walk together.

Positive

When Kat hangs up, she says she’s going to throw a rock at her sister’s boyfriend.

Bye!

Neutral

Aim for his junk.

Positive

Hang Up The Phone

Swann talks to her cat who is laying on her trunk in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Though this chapter revolves around Swann’s phone calls, there are other choices to make. Before you can make them, you need to get Swann’s cat off the trunk, by locating the cat treats by the door. Once that’s done, head back to the trunk which will trigger a return to the present.

Adult Autumn will ask you if you’re nervous about seeing Autumn.

Yes! A little bit.

Positive

Nah, I’m excited to see her.

Neutral

After that, you have the option to choose if Swann packed like a camper or like she was going to a party. This determines what items you have access to as you prepare to go to the cabin.

Swann prepares her camping supplies in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Camper

Party

Bug Spray

Silly String

Sun Screen

Candles

Water Bottle

Sticky Hand

Striped Towel

Crab Towel

Then you have a choice between two kinds of stickers: Prismatic or Glow In The Dark. Swann will be able to put these up once she gets to the cabin.

You also need to choose snacks, you can take them all, but the game won’t let you leave until you pick at least three.

All three of the girls ask for books, and they all can be found on the bookshelves to the right of Swann’s bed. Once you pack those away in Swann’s backpack, you’re ready to head out!
