Is Lost Records Set In The Life Is Strange Universe?

We take a look at the universe’s of Life Is Strange and Lost Records and see if there are any connections.

But, more importantly for us players, this chapter is absolutely stuffed with dialogue choices. If you’re looking to improve your relationship with one of Swann’s pals, this chapter is long and full of potential pitfalls. We’ll go over how to navigate every dialogue option and what responses will get you a positive, negative, or neutral reaction from Autumn, Nora, and Kat.

As usual, staying silent won’t get you a negative or positive reaction, but it may prevent you from seeing certain dialogue options.

Into The Woods

Swann looks out at the lake in the park in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

As the chapter begins, the girls enter a beautiful section of the park, situated on a sunlit lake. There are a ton of opportunities to capture shots, and seeing all the dialogue options means experimenting and sticking around longer than you feel you need to. But once you capture six shots of your friends, you’re free to move onto the next area.

Before you do that, you’ve got some choices to make. Is your Swann a smoker? Once Nora reaches the lake, she’ll say that this would be a great place to “spark up.” If Swann says that she wants to join in, it gets a positive reaction.

During this section, Autumn can also show off her cartwheel ability. If you record it, you can say, “Nice one, Autumn” which will get a positive response.

Nora will ask, “Do I look okay, Autumn?” In order to answer, you need to look at her. If you do, you can get a positive reaction by responding, “You look HOT, Nora!”

When the topic of snacks comes up, Swann has two possible responses:

Beer doesn’t count as a snack?

Positive.

Mom usually makes me bring a granola bar.

Neutral.

After that bit of dialogue, you’re ready to move on. To do so, you simply need to squeeze through the gap at the far end of the area.

Air Guitar, Romance, And A Pretend Electric Fence

Nora and Kat sitting on a rusted motorcycle in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage as Swann and Autumn watch.

In the present, Autumn returns to the table, stressed by her work encroaching into her time off. Swann has two supportive dialogue options:

No worries.

Neutral.

Wanna talk about the case?

Positive.

Whichever you pick, you’re back to 1995 soon. This area has two major activities to do, and you need to complete one to progress.

Before you get to either of those, there’s a chainlink fence with a bunch of “love locks” attached to it — including one belonging to Kat’s sister Dylan and her boyfriend Corey. If you want some help cracking it, check out this guide.

After looking at the lock, Kat will grab the fence and pretend to be electrocuted. You can respond in two ways:

Good one.

Positive.

That scared me.

Negative (from Kat) and Positive (from Autumn).

If you head down away from the fence, you can find some deer scat on the path. Whether you decided that it’s “cool” or “gross” has no impact on your relationships with anyone.

In this area, the conversation will turn to bugs, and which ones the girls think are better or worse. Swann can interject. All are received positively, though only one directed at Nora seems to have earned favor with a specific girl.

I know a fun fact about wasps.

Positive.

I know a fun fact about spiders.

Positive.

I know a fun fact about mosquitoes.

Positive.

Bugs like you cuz you taste good.

Positive (Nora).

Around this time, Autumn will offer to cartwheel again. Your response to this is neutral, so you only need to say yes if you want to film her doing it again.

Kat And Nora Pose On The Motorbike

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage's Autumn stands in the forest with a dialogue choice box.

Up the path from the scat, you can find an old, rusted out motorbike. Swann suggests that Nora and Kat should pretend to be Dylan and Corey, and they agree to do it. You can decide what tone the performance should have, too, and it will change depending on your choice.

They’re hot and bothered.

The performance is overtly sexual.

They’re being romantic.

The performance is fancy and goofy.

Either way, Swann decides that they need a big finish. She can make two suggestions:

You should kiss!

Nora plants a real kiss on Kat.

Is a stage kiss OK?

Kat kisses Nora on the cheek.

Kat feels awkward no matter which option you choose.

Nora And Autumn Play Air Guitar

Swann looks at a stage-shaped formation in the ground, with the option to say, "Air guitar?" in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

On the other side of this area, there’s a stage-shaped formation in the ground, and Swann can suggest Nora and Autumn play air guitar. They’ll begin to play and you can film them. You can also choose which girl to encourage.

You look so cool, Nora.

Positive.

You’re doing great, Autumn.

Positive.

If you choose the second option, it opens up another opportunity to address Autumn, who feels more awkward about the whole situation. You can make her feel better or more self-conscious.

You’re perfect, Autumn.

Positive.

Try to amp it up, like Nora.

Negative.

From there, you can wrap it up, and Nora and Autumn will continue to talk about the air guitar performance. You can add your two cents:

I wish we had real instruments.

Negative (Nora) and Positive (Autumn).

It looked good, but wobbly.

Positive.

The Big Rock And The Small Rock

In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Swann looks at a cairn at the water's edge.

At the water’s edge, you can take a moment to reflect, opening up the opportunity to take some great shots.

You can also examine a cairn that someone has stacked by the water’s edge. If you do, you can pick up a small rock sitting next to it and place it at the top. This will get you an achievement that references developer Don’t Nod’s 2023 game, Jusant.

Hakuna Matata

Swann holds her camcorder up to her face as she crosses an unseen log bridge in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Once you leave the air guitar/motorbike area, you’ll find yourself at a log bridge.

You don’t have any important decisions to make here. Just get some killer shots of your friends looking like Timon and Pumba and feel free to move on.

Walking To The Finish

Kat and Swann sit on the edge of a scenic overlook, as Autumn and Nora look on in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

In the final area, you come to a fork in the road and must choose whether to walk with Nora, Autumn, or Kat. Whoever you pick, it will get a positive reaction from that girl.

Each conversation here has two stages with multiple responses each time. Depending on whether you did air guitar, the motorbike, or both, you’ll have more or less dialogue options.

If You Choose Kat

You have three options at first:

Was the scene with Nora weird?

Neutral.

The air guitar scene was fun right?

Positive.

Today went by so fast.

Neutral.

If you choose the first option, you have two responses:

Sorry…

Neutral.

Awkward? Why?

Positive.

If you choose the second option, you have two responses:

Nora’s gonna be famous someday.

Neutral.

Autumn’s gonna be famous someday.

Neutral.

Swann and Kat walk along the path with a dialogue box in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

And if you choose the third option, you have two responses.

I’d stay out late with you.

Positive.

I’d miss my cat.

Negative.

If You Choose Autumn

You have three options at first:

Did you like my motorbike idea?

Neutral.

You seemed nervous playing air guitar…

Neutral.

I wonder how my cat is doing…

Neutral.

If you pick the first option, you have two responses:

Nora was into it.

Neutral.

You could have taken Kat’s place.

Negative.

If you go with the second choice, you have two options:

I thought you looked cute.

Positive.

I can’t waste footage.

Negative.

And if you opt for the third, you have two choices:

My cat would love you.

Positive.

Your parents hate cats?

Negative.

If You Choose Nora

If you walk with Nora, you start out with three dialogue options:

Did you like my motorcycle skit idea?

Neutral.

Your air guitar was so awesome.

Positive.

Today went by so fast.

Neutral.

If you choose to talk about the motorcycle, you have two response options:

Maybe you intimidate her.

Negative.

Kat’s not used to the spotlight.

Neutral.

You were so funny.

Positive.

If you choose to emphasize the air guitar, you have two options:

I think she was just nervous.

Neutral.

You stole the show.

Positive.

And if you talk about the day going quickly, you have two options:

You’re safe with me.

Positive.

Fraidy cat.

Negative.

Swann, Nora, Kat, and Autumn dangle their legs from the scenic overlook in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Now that you’ve reached the pier, you have a couple more dialogue choices. As the girls sit down to look out over the lake, Swann can express sincerity or self-deprecation:

I’ve never had friends like you.

Positive.

Thanks for putting up with me.

Neutral.

This gets the gang talking about how fast the summer is passing by. Swann can offer three responses:

I bet a moth’s life goes faster.

Positive.

I wish I could skip being a teenager.

Positive.

I feel old already.

Positive.

And on that golden hour note, it’s time for the girls to head back home, and for you to move onto the next chapter.
