How to Get the Unique Aurochs-Skin Grimoire in Avowed

Players can get the unique Aurochs-Skin Grimoire from the Ryngrim’s Domain in the Shatterscarp region of Avowed. Players will be able to enter the Ryngrim’s Domain during the Face Your Fears main quest but can venture to the area after the quest as well. If you need a refresher, Ryngrim’s Domain is located in the northeast corner of the Shatterscarp map, next to Shark’s Teeth.

Reaching Ryngrim’s Domain

To reach Ryngrim’s Domain, you can fast travel to the Shark’s Teeth party camp. When you’re leaving the camp, make sure to equip Yatzli in your companions, as you won’t be able to venture further into the domain without her. Now, exit the camp and head inside the Ryngrim’s Domain to the north. Watch out for any skeleton enemies at the domain’s entrance, as you’ll need to eliminate them before entering.

Entering the Secret Room in Ryngrim’s Tower

Once you’re inside, keep following the frozen cavern path until you spot a statue to your right. Interact with the statue, and Yatzli will teleport the party to the Ryngrim’s Tower. Once you’re inside the tower, look towards the right, and you’ll spot a bookshelf. Move closer, and you’ll be able to press a secret button inside the bookshelf to open a door next to it.

Getting the Aurochs-Skin Grimoire

Head inside the secret room, and you’ll be able to grab the Aurochs-Skin Grimoire

from the altar. The grimoire has some great spells for you to use, most prominently Blast of Frost, Missle Silo, and Freezing Pillar. If you grab the grimoire at a high character enough level, you’ll receive it in legendary quality, which will offer -72% ability cost and -55% cooldown on spells.
