Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an open-world medieval RPG where players follow Henry along a complex revenge story after his parents are victims of the ongoing war. Henry’s circumstances lead him to the region of Kuttenberg on a rescue mission.
Along the way to Kuttenberg, Henry and Zizka begin the next main quest, and they plan to meet with someone called the Dry Devil and his gang to assist them. Of course, things do not go as planned. Players can use this guide to complete Speak of the Devil in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Speak of the Devil Walkthrough
After finishing the Sword and Quill walkthrough, Henry and Zizka set out to find the Dry Devil. Zizka knows of an inn called the Devil’s Den where they might find the Dry Devil, and Henry will follow him there.
Players can get to know Zizka better and talk to him before they get the option to fast-travel the rest of the way to the Devil’s Den. They can also ride there normally if they want to unlock the map and earn Horsemanship XP.
Go to the Devil’s Den
When the pair arrive at the Devil’s Den a cutscene will trigger. A drunken man named Kubyenka comes falling out of the inn followed by some angry bandits. Zizka and Henry will team up with him to fight the bandits.
Kubyenka is a member of the Dry Devil’s gang, and he tells Henry and Zizka that he was captured about a month ago. However, he got a tip off that the Devil is being transported today.
The group plans an ambush, with Zizka staying behind to recruit men, and Henry is sent with Kubyenka to find some Handgonnes buried at their camp before meeting at the ambush spot.
Get the Handgonnes With Kubyenka
Henry and Kubyenka head off toward the latter’s old camp. He says that he and his gang buried some Hand Cannons, but because they were drunk he doesn’t remember where exactly.
When they arrive at the camp, Henry must follow Kubyenka around and dig where he thinks the Handgonnes are buried. This will take a bit as he has Henry dig into the wrong places on the first couple of tries.
Players can pick up a Spade at the camp if they don’t have one.
At one point, Kubyenka will try to have a drink with Henry. Be careful if Henry gets too drunk because he will take a significant hit to his Speech, Agility, and Vitality. A Hair O’ the Dog potion will help sober him up if needed. Finally, Kubyenka will lead Henry to the correct burial place, and they can pick up the Handgonnes inside a buried chest.
With guns in hand, the pair will set off to the ambush location once Henry gets on his horse.

Ambush the Caravan
Zizka and a group of men are waiting beside a broken cart that Zizka planted in the middle of the road. Go and talk to Zizka and Kubyenka to discuss the plan.
When the caravan appears, they will be forced to stop for the cart. Then, everyone will shoot at them using the element of surprise. Zizka and Kubyenka argue about the logistics but eventually come to an agreement. Unfortunately, the ambush is less than successful at first, and they only manage to take down one horse and accidentally wound the Dry Devil himself before being confronted by the leader of the Caravan.
Henry will get a chance to pass a dialogue skill check to convince some of the Caravan’s men to flee. There are three different Speech options:
- (HARD) There are many of us in the woods! – Charisma
- (HARD) We’ll be done with you in no time! – Intimidation
- (HARD) We are obeying orders of the Lords of Leipa! – Domination
If players fail the dialogue check, they will have to fight the entire group. They aren’t very strong other than the leader and one knight they are traveling with. Players can take out one of them with the Handgonne equipped before switching to their melee weapon since reloading takes a lot of time.
Once everyone is killed, Henry and Zizka will meet back up, and the group will leave. Players can loot the bandits for good-quality armor and weapons before leaving. The quest ends with them at the Devil’s Den, sharing a drink with the Dry Devil as they plan their next move.
