Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Triumphant Light expansion was revealed on Thursday and launched yesterday. The Arceus-focused set is bound to shake up the meta with a bunch of new powerful cards and a range of Pokemon that have been blessed with the “Link” ability.

But while much of the new set’s cards are likely to see some level of play, there are two that fall well below the desired levels, Snorlax and Giratina, and fans can’t decide which of the two is worse.

Since the set leaked on Wednesday, multiple threads have been started on the Pokemon TCG Pocket subreddit lamenting just how bad the new Giratina card is.
It has 120 HP and deals 120 damage from its single attack. “That’s not awful,” I hear you cry. The problem is that its Crisis Dive attack requires one Grass-type energy and one Psychic-type to use, a very awkward combination. That’s not all, though; after using the attack, players will need to discard TWO cards from the Pokemon, meaning they’re at the mercy of the Energy gods again.
On Reddit, it was called a “serious contender for the worst card in the game” and “Literally unplayable” as “having multiple types of energy is already a chore.”

Following Triumphant Light’s official release, Pokemon TCG Pocket’s next batch of promo cards leaked, and they contained a terrible Snorlax card—one which gives Giratina a run for its money.
It has 140 HP and deals 100 damage from its attack. Again, not the worst. Except this time, it requires four energies to attack, and it falls asleep immediately after. It also has a shockingly high retreat cost of four energies.
Much like Giratina, Snorlax was called the “worst card in PTCGP” and “sad”. The argument was made that Snorlax plus Lum Berry could make for a great meme deck, but that’s about as good as it will get.
