Pokemon TCG Pocket has pretty much taken the world by storm ever since its release back in October 2024, tempting more and more of us each month to open more and more packs in a desperate bid to collect them all. There’s the battling side of the game too, which already has its established metas and best-performing decks, and ranked battles already on the way.
We knew it was massive just from how it has taken over almost every Pokemon fan’s lives, but developer Dena recently exactly how much Pokemon TCG Pocket is dominating at the moment. In a Twitter post via the official Pokemon TCG Pocket account, Dena revealed that the game has already passed the 100 million download mark, just four months after release.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Passes 100 Million Downloads In Just Four Months
In the tweet, Dena thanks fans for their “continued support” and that it looks forward to celebrating future milestones later in the year. That sounds pretty presumptuous, but it would be difficult to imagine Pokemon TCG Pocket not kicking on and getting hundreds of millions more downloads over the course of 2025.
Of course, not listening and irritating your fanbase is one good way to ruin all of your success, and the trading situation is proving quite bothersome for Dena. Even in Dena’s tweet about the 100 million downloads milestone being reached, you can find people urging the dev to address issues with trading.
Hopefully, we’ll see some changes in the near future, as it does seem like the developer is listening. For now, we can console ourselves with the new set which was announced during this week’s Pokemon Presents showcase, which is called Triumphant Light and focuses on our lord and savior Arceus.
