How To Start The X Marks The Spot Quest
After completing the Speak of the Devil main quest, head south of Pschitoky in the Kuttenberg Region to the tavern. There, you’ll find the Innkeeper, whom you can speak to and ask about the latest news.
He will then direct you to hired hand Krizhan in Pschitoky, where you can talk to him and start the X Marks the Spot quest.
Krizhan will mention that he has found a treasure map and needs your help to locate it.
You will receive

, which you can use to assist in finding the treasure.
How To Complete The X Marks The Spot Quest
Krizhan’s treasure map points to an enemy camp located just northeast of Sedletz Monastery. At this camp, you will find a cave entrance, but be cautious as there will be plenty of enemies both inside and outside.
Make sure to deal with them before heading inside the cave.
Towards the end of the cave, you will come across several spots where you can dig. However, even after digging at all these spots, you won’t find anything, as there is no treasure. All you need to do is head back to Krizhan and talk to him about this.
During your conversation with Krizhan, you will have multiple options on how to deal with him, such as threatening him, attacking him, or simply leaving. However, we recommend selecting the ‘We’ll settle this the nice way‘ option.
This is because, even though you were tricked, Krizhan will become a skill teacher, which you can benefit from later. But if you really want your money back, you know what to do.
Whatever option you choose, it will complete the ‘X Marks The Spot’ quest.
