If there is one thing that keeps the titular character in Sodaman going, it is the absolute love that he has for sodas, and fortunately, there is no shortage of these drinks in the Tape Corps-developed roguelike. As you shoot your way through endless waves of enemy hordes, you will quickly realize that your weapons and augments are not the only aspects that you should focus on to progress further in the game.

Bloodpact

Strike

If you are going for a bleed build in Sodaman, there are not many sodas better than Bloodpact to provide some much-needed assists in the middle of an intense battle. There is a chance that the soda will spawn a Kusarigama through ricocheting Attacks, which not only deals normal damage to the enemies, but also makes them bleed, giving you an extra hand on the offensive front.

Given the number of enemies you face in Sodaman at once, having some help for even the shortest of durations can lead you to victory, and the damage the Kusarigama deals can prove quite useful.

Hattori

Similar to what Bloodpact soda brings to the table, Hattori also spawns a Japanese weapon that caters primarily to bleed builds, unleashing Kunais on enemies on Cooldown. It makes Sodaman shoot Kunais in a circular pattern, so you can rest assured that no enemy is safe regardless of their position around you, as it hits them with significant damage to give you a bit of space during encounters.

On top of the great damage that these Kunais inflict on the opposition, they also apply the Bleed status effect to them, making its utility last for a while and weakening the enemy so you can have an easier time finishing them off.

You can also increase the chances of Slimes getting created, as the possibility goes higher every time Toxic is stacked, making your Sodaman runs much smoother to get through.

After dealing damage to the nearest enemy, the disc then creates a Chain Lightning to affect other surrounding enemies as well, continuing its offensive streak for a few crucial seconds.

Naturally, there is also a high Electrocute Chance that comes with the Purple Pain drink, which can immobilize the enemy for a while, giving you the chance to hit them back as they try to figure out how to counter the lightning.

Doing exactly what its name suggests, the Death Kick soda awakens a secret technique from deep within you as you go around kicking nearby enemies with plenty of power, making them fall back and giving you the window to do further damage.

Using the Death Kick technique can get you out of tricky situations where there are way too many enemies surrounding you, ensuring that at least eight of them get hit by the soda’s powers as you figure out your next move.

The damage that the Death Kick does is also quite high, which is why it feels like more of an Attack soda despite being categorized as a Deploy one, making it an interesting detour from sodas like Purple Pain.
