World of Warcraft just revealed some of the stunning items from the March Trading Post catalog, including the Ruby Butterfly mount and several Monarch weapons and transmogs. Featuring the Ornaments of the Pearlescent Monarch as the monthly free reward, the March Trading Post in World of Warcraft features a kaleidoscope of butterfly-themed rewards to collect.
The Trading Post is a feature in World of Warcraft where players can shop from a stock of cosmetics that rotates every month. These items are bought with Trader’s Tender – a currency mostly obtained by completing in-game tasks on the Traveler’s Log, but can sometimes be purchased via select World of Warcraft cash shop bundles.

There is something missing from World of Warcraft: The War Within Patch 11.1, Undermine(d), that tarnishes an otherwise excellent content update.
Now, World of Warcraft has revealed the highlights from the Trading Post catalog coming in March. Most of these items, including the Ruby Butterfly, Wings of the Blood Monarch, and Blood Monarch’s Sword, all match a butterfly aesthetic. Even the Ornaments of the Pearlescent Monarch, an ensemble containing a head, shoulder, and waist transmogs obtained by completing the Traveler’s Log in March, perfectly fits this theme – the only revealed item that doesn’t is the Vigilante’s Deep Mask, a lavender Zoro-like headscarf.

These are only a few of the many items coming to the Trading Post in March. Though Blizzard had historically revealed entire catalogs in these blogs, the December 2024 Trading Post in World of Warcraft set a new tradition of only showing off select highlights, rather than the full collection. This means fans will have to wait until the inventory rotates on March 1 to see what else they can spend their Trader’s Tender on.
This also means the World of Warcraft Trading Post catalog from February will be leaving soon – along with the bonuses for the feature’s second anniversary. The extra vendors who offer discounts on returning items and the extra 500 Trader’s Tender available from the Traveler’s Log will disappear in March, so players will want to make sure to collect all of their rewards before it is too late to do so.
Were this not exciting enough, World of Warcraft just released Patch 11.1, Undermine(d). The Undermine zone is full of new activities, many of which will likely award progress on the Traveler’s Log. With The War Within Season 2 starting on March 4, fans should have no trouble earning their Trader’s Tender stipend, and the Ornaments of the Pearlescent Monarch, through various activities in Undermine.
