Besides playing Glenn Rhee, one of the smartest characters on AMC’s The Walking Dead, Steven Yeun has played some great characters over the years. He voiced Mark Gryason in Invincible, portrayed Jupe in the 2022 Jordan Peele horror movie Nope, and was impressive as Danny Cho on the 2023 Netflix series Beef. He also appeared in an episode of Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone reboot, which aired for two seasons 2019 to 2020.

Steven Yeun starred as the title character in season 1, episode 4 of The Twilight Zone reboot, “A Traveler.” He shows up in a holding cell at a police station in Alaska and says he wanted to experience the Christmas party that Captain Lane Pendleton (Greg Kinnear) hosts every year. Pendleton also pardons someone every year, and Yeun’s character asks to be pardoned. Whiel he calls himself an “extreme tourist” at first, viewers learn that Yeun’s character is an alien, which is one of the best twists from the entire reboot. The holiday setting also makes this episode fun to watch. Like the most terrifying movies set at Christmas, it adds a cool element since it’s supposed to be a carefree time of year.
The Walking Dead fans will love seeing Yeun play such a mysterious role. Like the brave The Walking Dead characters who have to fight the Walkers and not turn into zombies themselves, the characters in this great Twilight Zone episode are perplexed and stunned by the new reality around them.
