Should You Kill the Delemgan? (Boundaries Of Antiquity Quest)

Solace Keep is a prominent location in Galawain’s Tusks that houses several NPCs offering quests for the Envoy to do in Avowed. While exploring its halls, players will meet up with Chief Engineer Gabral, who’ll ask players to fix the strange taste in the water supply of the Solace Keep. He’s already sent a team to the old Godless Aqueduct to repair the issue but hasn’t heard from them since. This will start the Boundaries of Antiquity quest.

Avowed: Steel Resolve Quest Walkthrough

Steel Resolve is one of the most crucial quests in the Emerald Stair region of Avowed, and players will get One Last Trick Arquebus by completing it.

Find the Missing Team in the Slumbering Fields

After accepting the Boundaries of Antiquity Quest in Avowed, players must head towards the Slumbering Fields to find the missing expedition team. On the way to the location, you’ll come across a lake of lava with no way to cross. Equip the Eye of Rymrgand or any other freeze spell to solidify the lava.

Once the lava is frozen, use it to reach the other side and arrive at the Slumber Fields. You’ll meet the Weeping Willow Delemgan, who has imprisoned Raluka. She’s the one who Gabral sent to fix the water supply. Weeping Willow will ask a favor of the Envoy in exchange for letting Raluki go.

Investigate the Presence Inside the Ruins in Avowed

There’s a presence that seems to have awakened in the fields, and players must go investigate it. Head inside the Slumbering Fields, and you’ll encounter several Sporeling enemies. You can either stop and eliminate all of them to get some XP and extra loot, or you can use the Shadowing Beyond ability to sneak past them.

Regardless of how you deal with the enemies, you’ll crouch some broken pillars to enter the Ekidan Workshop. Burn the vines in the upper right portion of the wall and enter through the crawlspace. Follow the pathway until you reach a statue that is the presence Weeping Willow was talking about.

The presence identifies itself as the goddess Woedica, and there will be a back-and-forth conversation between you, Sapadal, and her. After the Envoy snaps out of the trance, return to the Weeping Willow to report the situation.

Should You Kill the Delemgan Avowed

Now, after helping the Weeping Willow restore the waters, it’ll tell Raluka to stay away from the Slumbering Fields. Instead, the Delemgan will suggest that the Raluka and her people can gather water where the waterway ends. Raluka won’t agree to this arrangement and argues that they should have full access to the fields, including the fresh source of water.

After discussing the matter with Raluka in private, players will decide to either kill the Delemgan or simply ask Raluka to compromise. If you choose to attack Delemgan, it’ll lead to a boss fight with it, which isn’t that tough. Do note that you don’t really get a special reward for taking down the Delemgan, so it’s best that you leave it alone.

Clear Out the Aqueduct

Regardless of your situation, Raluka will ask the Envoy to clear out the aqueduct at the end of the Boundaries of Antiquity Quest in Avowed. So, simply head toward the mission marker, burning a wall of vines along the way. You’ll spot a small river to the right that you can jump into and reach the other side of the glade.

After exiting the river on the other side, reach the top of the hill on the left to clear out the aqueduct. There are a bunch of vines growing over the waterways that you can burn by using a firebomb or a fire spell. Once you’re done, return to Raluka to tell her about the waterways. This will mark the Boundaries of Antiquity Quest in Avowed as complete.
