Path of Exile Gets New Hotfix Update

Path of Exile has released a new Hotfix update that aims to address several issues that have been plaguing the game. Released in 2013, the highly popular ARPG from Grinding Gear Games quickly became a smash hit with players. Grinding Gear Games shares some interesting stats with the community, revealing which classes are the most popular in Path of Exile 2.

As announced on the official Path of Exile forum, the Hotfix 3 update is now available to all players. The update aims to address several issues, including a bug that causes the Atlas Passive Window to open after claiming the reward for completing Maven’s Crucible. It also fixes multiple crash-related problems, along with other improvements. The forum notes that players will need to restart their client to receive some of the client changes included in the patch.

Despite being released over a decade ago, Path of Exile continues to maintain strong player numbers. A significant boost in its popularity has come from the success of the Legacy of Phrecia event. The event has been a huge hit, peaking at over 91,000 concurrent players on Steam within the first 24 hours of its release. With the follow-up title set to launch soon, many fans see the latest PoE event as a well-timed treat that will help build excitement for the upcoming game.

On top of the new event and the sequel’s impending release, Path of Exile 2 early access began late last year. Early feedback from fans suggests the game is on track to meet the lofty expectations set by its predecessor.
