As an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, there seems to be no room for romance in Dead by Daylight, despite fans clamoring to smooch their favorite killer. This led to the development of Hooked On You, a dating sim based on the world of DbD and involving a few choice characters players were free to romance.

One of the more popular picks in both games is Spirit, a strong killer capable of closing the distance between her and her prey thanks to her phase walk. With a slight goth look to her, it is no surprise Spirit has many players blushing. While she may be quiet, Spirit is likely smart as she enrolled in a prestigious university, which could make dates with her thought-provoking and insightful. Players just need to be careful to not provoke her, or they might find themselves hoisted onto a meat hook.

Rapture’s so-called Men of Steel were the Big Daddies, hulking menaces with drills for arms. They are mostly peaceful until the player initiates combat, or tries to take their Little Sister. No one really knows what they look like beneath the diving suits, but that hasn’t stopped Rapture’s residents from imagining, as evidenced by the poster of the Bid Daddy partially out of his diving suit.

Even a weapon in hands is little comfort in these terrifying first-person shooter games.

But even with the helmet on, the Big Daddy still is far from ugly, and might be the perfect date for players who don’t place importance on looks. So long as those intent on wooing the Big Daddy donn’t mind co-parenting the creepy Little Sisters, the Big Daddy could prove the perfect partner.

A gothic horror RPG, Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines pulls players into the dark and grueling world of vampires trying to coexist in secret among humans. As they explore LA and become accustomed to their new existence, they meet the twin owners of the club known as Asylum. Therese is a non-nonsense businesswoman who always chastises her sister, Jeanette, the more fun vampire of the two.

Players could even involve themselves with Jeanette in the game to a certain extent, which proves she is definitely up for more romance in her afterlife. So long as any hopefuls wanting to romance her don’t talk about her sister, they could enjoy a few fun dates with Jeanette. They just better hope they do not meet Tourette Voerman…

Granted, Mitochondria Eve isn’t the most attractive of names, as the former word doesn’t conjure the nicest of mental images. But the actual in-game model is a far cry from anything gross, as she does boast some of the good looks of the opera singer host.

While some of the hosts’ natural beauty has been morphed by Eve’s possession, she still looks far less grotesque and deformed than other horror game monsters, decked out in a killer wardrobe and a hairstyle that makes her more than a fashion for even the zaniest of JRPG villains. Though her main focus does seem to be on creating the ultimate being, perhaps she just needs the right person in her life to put her on the right track. Or, her date could even help her achieve her nefarious goals.

The Resident Evil series is home to many monsters, from the intimidating Nemesis to the popular Lady Dimitrescu. Unleashed into RPD as a means to kill the remaining Raccoon City survivors, Mr X was a force to be reckoned with in RE2. He was literally unkillable for the vast majority of the game, with an entire armory’s worth of bullets doing little more than stunning him for a few seconds, precious time players could use to flee to safety.

Survival Horror Games With An Undefeatable Enemy

If players are to survive some truly terrifying horror games, then it might be a good idea to avoid these unkillable threats that lurk within.

But beyond the scares, there might be some intrigue behind this mysterious creature. He has the tall and dark vibes which are often-sought attributes in many romance novels, and he has style at least, donning a long trench coat and trilby. Though he might be a man of few words, players can be sure he would at least be a very protective date and is more than capable of defending them.

Resident Evil Village’s announcement heralded the reveal of one of the game’s main antagonists, which was in the form of a 9-foot-tall vampire by the name of Alcina Dimistrescu. She broke the internet, with even non-RE fans clamoring for more of their fictional giant crush. Though her role in the game was brief, her impact was long-lasting.

While it may not be advisable for men to pursue her, given her opinion on “man-things”, there still may be a chance for hopeful women who crushed on Lady Dimitrescu since they first laid eyes on her. Of course, there’s still a chance they could also end up on the business end of her claws, but it may be worth the risk for one wine date with this beautiful, towering vampire.

This might be a rather polarizing choice, as the right audience will be nodding their heads in agreement, while the wrong audience will be remembering how terrifying, and maybe even gross, Pyramid Head is. But as a popular video game monster ever since debuting in the original Silent Hill 2, there is a lot of intrigue to this creature, and who wouldn’t want to date such an iconic celebrity?

Ignoring the fact that this monster is a personal accouterment to James’s tragic story, Pyramid Head is the strong silent type that is definitely an attractive attribute to some people. At the very least, hopeful romantics can rely on him to be a great listener, and as long as he keeps his great sword off the dinner table, who isn’t to say someone couldn’t have a lasting relationship, or at least a few thrilling dates with this creature?

Cthulhu is a legendary figure from Lovecraft’s work, an otherworldly god that mere mortals can barely comprehend. Lovecraft’s legendary works have since received movies, tabletop games, and video games that adapt his work for a more modern audience. The iconic god has, of course, appeared in various works, including the 2018 Call of Cthulhu game that involved a cult looking to summon him to Earth.

One of the game’s endings did involve the cult succeeding in their ambition and awakening the ancient god from his slumber, which means that dating him could become a possibility. Sure, any who do may likely suffer an erosion of their sanity, but doesn’t love drive everyone a little crazy? Dating a god is sure to come with more benefits than drawbacks, as they could give their paramour anything they could ever want.
