Monster Hunter Wilds is finally here! While many have already got a taste of it via the beta tests, series fans have been diving back into Monster Hunter World to take care of any unfinished business they had left. Considering that World is Capcom‘s most successful game, it’s understandable that players have been going back for a few hunts before the launch of Wilds.

Monster Hunter Wilds Review: Don’t Think, Just Hunt
Monster Hunter Wilds is a more approachable, if slightly more mindless Monster Hunter.
While hunting their favourite monsters was probably the main reason, fans also booted up the 2018 title to take in the scenery and engage with their favourite NPCs. While the monsters and weapons are important, players will also miss the succulent meals cooked up by our favourite feline NPCs. And so, World players are stopping by to say goodbye to Grammeowster and Meowscular Chef.
They Will Never Stop Cooking
Over on the Monster Hunter subreddit, several posts have been made about thanking and saying goodbye to these culinary artists, who not only prepared delicious meals, but also provided us with buffs to make our hunts easier. The heavyweight feline and adorable old kitty chefs have given us some great memories.
While Meowscular Chef taught us the meaning of eating healthy for the sake of our bodies, Grammeowster reminded many of us of our own grannies and other relatives, who lovingly cooked for us and always sent us on our way with full bellies. Make sure you hop on and tell her that you’re going to be away for a while.
One comment played out a scenario which got us all a bit tearful. “As you turn your back to her, she calls out: ‘Wait hunter’, and hands you a pack. Peeking inside and you find potions and steaks. You look back at her. ‘Good luck out there in the Wilds’ she says.” I’m not crying, it’s the sous cat cutting onions!
Speaking of Meowscular Chef, one comment said, “I love how he was the Admiral’s Palico before he turned to a life of cooking. Imagine being the monster hunted by the two of them.” That’s just the kind of compliment he’d love.
So, if you’ve still not said thank you and goodbye to these two for keeping you fed and healthy, make sure you do before hopping onto Wilds.
