Monster Hunter Wilds Is Having Some Problems On PC, But Capcom Is Here To Help

Monster Hunter Wilds launches today, February 28, and some players have run into issues with the Steam version. Thankfully, Capcom has provided steps on how to fix problems such as the game not loading or the cutscenes aren’t playing.

You can read the detailed steps below.

Capcom recommended to make sure that your PC meets the minimum PC requirements for Monster Hunter Wilds and that your graphics drivers are updated. Additionally, update DirectX to the latest version and make sure that the game is added to your anti-virus program’s exceptions list.

Players should also give administrator privileges to Steam and verify the game’s file on Steam. If one or more files fail to verify, those files should not be replaced as part of the verification process. Disabling Compatibility Mode for the “MonsterHunterWilds.exe” program may help too.

Monster Hunter Wilds is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is currently dominating Steam charts as it has over 1.2 million concurrent players on its first day of release. It has already far surpassed the records set by Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise, which sit at 330K and 230K concurrent players, respectively.

In GameSpot’s Monster Hunter Wilds review, we said, “It has issues, but Monster Hunter Wilds iterates on a winning formula with another captivating collection of monsters to slay.”
