Shortswords in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are extremely reliable in almost every situation, and if you’re looking for one of the best in the game, then theSword of Sir Valentine is for you. It has some of the highest stats you can get from a shortsword, and you can get it as soon as you finish the first half of the game.

Among the many weapons in KCD2, shortswords are arguably the most versatile thanks to the many perks and bonuses you can get, and with Sir Valentine’s sword, you’ll be able to cut through enemies pretty easily. Here’s where to get it.

The Peasants’ Revolt is one of the many tasks Henry can find in Kuttenberg. Here’s how players can complete it in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Where to Get Sir Valentine’s Sword in KCD2

The Sword of Sir Valentine is a craftable weapon, and you can get its schematic by completing The Reliquary, a side quest in the eastern side of Kuttenberg in KCD2. Head to the quest marker shown above until you meet the Humble Knight in a secluded camp. This will put you on track to getting the Sword of Sir Valentine

— head into the crypt in the Sedletz Monastery, and examine the lid of Sir Valentine’s tomb to get the schematic.

Once you have the schematic, it’s time to start smithing. To craft the Sword of Sir Valentine, you’ll need the following:

  • 1 Scrap Metal
  • 1 Frankfurt Steel
  • 1 Cow Skin
  • 1 Copper
  • 1 Straight Sword Guard
  • 1 Coin Sword Pommel

Visit any smithy to craft this sword. If it’s your first time making it, we suggest saving your KCD2 game before you do. Use that save file to get a feel for how to forge the Sword of Saint Valentine.

Assuming you have the Martin’s Secret Craftsmanship perk, if you hammer all the right spots at the right pace without re-heating the blade, you can get an M-quality version of the sword, which is the highest tier of weapon in the game.

If your Craftsmanship skill is maxed out, you’ll still be able to forge M-quality weapons even if you make a few mistakes in the smithing process.

A mastercrafted Sir Valentine sword has the following stats:

  • 159 Stab
  • 167 Slash
  • 25 Blunt
  • 242 Defence

It’s a decent bit better than an M-quality Basilard, but it also has steeper minimum stat requirements at 10 Strength and 17 Agility. Leveling up Henry’s core stats may take a while, but as long as you’re using a weapon that’s more than you can normally handle, you’ll be able to earn EXP at a faster rate, provided that you can deal with the penalties.
