At least SOME of them aren’t rude…
However, not everything involves hunting and fighting, and sometimes you’ll want to look stylish as you ride your Seikret across these lands. If you want to mix and match armor parts without losing the benefits of your best equipment, you can resort to Layered Armor parts, and here we’ll tell you all about it.
How To Unlock Layered Armor
To unlock this feature early on during the Main Story missions, you must have the pre-order bonuses, which include some Layered armor pieces like the Guild Knight or the Feudal Soldier armor sets; however, that’s as far as you’ll get during the main story/Low-Rank.
For everyone else, or if you want to unlock more options and properly have the full extent of this system available, you must finish the story and unlock High-Rank missions, since crafting that equipment will automatically unlock the corresponding Layered pieces for your Hunter.
You can only use High-Rank equipment as Layered Armor, so do not invest resources in unnecessary Low-Rank pieces!
How To Equip Layered Armor
To apply a new look on yourself, you must head inside your tent at any camp; there, you’ll be able to customize your equipment’s appearance and your Palico and Seikret’s looks as well. You can choose a whole outfit, modify just one part of your armor, and dye any or all your armor pieces to the color you want. Voila!
