Fortnite Will Give Formerly Banned Cheaters a Second Chance

Fortnite has long cracked down on cheaters. If they find that anyone is in violation of their rules and bending or breaking them to get an advantage over other players, Epic Games has been harsh.

Most multiplayer or PvP games are rough on cheaters, but Epic has been particularly rigid on that. Some players have been given lifetime bans for cheating. Others have seen lesser penalties. Now, some of those lesser penalties are being revoked.

Fortnite Giving Some Cheaters a Second Chance

According to leaker ShiinaBR , some players who got caught cheating will be given a second chance to once again play Fortnite. In April, many players who were once banned will be able to play again in a surprise reversal.

This reversal does not apply to those who sold or supplied cheats. Epic Games isn’t willing to forgive them, only the ones who used cheats. Additionally, those who cheated and got banned will have to turn on security settings to ensure they don’t do it again. If they don’t, then they still won’t be able to play the battle royale.

Cheaters and those who sell accounts will still be subject to penalties, including being sued, so Epic isn’t completely relaxing. They’re still being very harsh, they’re just giving players a chance to redeem themselves and continue to grow the player count.

Epic recently hit a cheater particularly hard. An FNCS cheater got banned and was forced to give back the winnings. The player was even made to give an apology statement. This was also a permanent ban, so it’s not likely to be undone by Epic Games even as they go about giving others another chance.

That was one of the most high-profile examples of cheating. Some players will still remain banned for life. That player is one of them.
