Civilization 7’s Customization Options Are Severely Lacking

However, in order to do so, it seems the devs will be putting new content on the back burner. The Natural Wonder Battle event, which was supposed to launch on March 4, has been postponed.

Firaxis Prioritizes UI Fixes Over New Content For Civilization 7

Natural Wonder Battle, which was supposed to be Civ 7’s first in-game event, was going to launch on March 4 as part of the Update 1.1.0. In a blog post, Firaxis has revealed that the update will include a lot of fixes for things like UI, balancing, and other specifics. It will also include a new Natural Wonder, the Bermuda Triangle.

“Although our first in-game event, Natural Wonder Battle, was originally planned for Update 1.1.0 on March 4, events are now being postponed to a later update to allow us more time to prioritize quality-of-life improvements for players worldwide,” said the post. “We’ll share more details about the first in-game event once we’re ready.”

Civilization 7’s Maps Need A Complete Overhaul

The maps are in a sorry state in Civilization 7.

It seems improvements to the UI, which is a primary pillar of the game, will be ongoing for further updates as well. Update 1.1.1, which will launch on March March 25. “Ongoing improvements to the User Interface continues to be a top priority for the development team. The updates being introduced on March 25 are just one part of a much larger plan that aims to improve the UI over the next several months.”

Firais has also noted that the UI will continue to be refined even after the March updates, until the developers and community are happy with it.
