World of Warcraft has confirmed that the campaign skip for Undermine(d) will be available on March 4, once the final two chapters of the story are available. From then on, players who finish the new World of Warcraft story on one character will be able to skip through it all on their other characters.
Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft is officially live, bringing fans to the subterranean Goblin city of Undermine. Appropriately named Undermine(d), the update continues the story of The War Within as Xal’atath enters a tenuous alliance with Jastor Gallywix in order to repair the Dark Heart after it was damaged in her last confrontation with Alleria.

However, players hoping to skip through this campaign on their alts will have to wait a little longer in order to do so. A forum post by World of Warcraft community manager Linxy confirmed that fans will be able to skip the Undermine(d) campaign on subsequent characters after beating it once by speaking to Renzik during the When Opportunity Explodes quest, or with Paks any time after. That said, this can only be done once the entire campaign is completed at least once – and the final two chapters of the World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 story won’t become available until March 4.
How to Skip World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 Campaign
-
Complete the Undermine(d) campaign at least once on an account.
- The final two chapters of the story are unlocked on March 4.
- On another character, speak to Renzik “The Shiv” during When Opportunity Explodes, or with Paks at any point of the campaign after.
Four campaign chapters are available in the game right now: Trust Issues, Undermine Awaits, Uncovering the Truth, and Breaking the Shackles. The final two chapters – Ignite the Fuel of Change and Homecoming – become playable on March 4, with the latter one having never actually been available on the Public Test Realm. Players don’t actually get Undermine until the second chapter – but luckily, by completing the Test Run quest from Rustol in the city, fans can unlock a teleporter that connects it back to Dornogal for the entire account, so they won’t need to do the story again to get there and enjoy the D.R.I.V.E. system and other new World of Warcraft activities on their other characters before the skip is available.
March 4 is also the start of World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 2 as well, marking the opening of the Liberation of Undermine raid, which has players battle across the new zone as they take it back from Gallywix and his goons. Little is known about the Homecoming chapter right now, but it will likely take place after Gallywix’s defeat in the raid – and may even officially introduce the secret fifth Cartel for the Cartels of Undermine Renown faction.
