The Elbaf arc of One Piece is officially underway and fans know that it is here that Luffy and the crew will show off what they’re truly capable of as a Yonko crew. While Egghead was certainly a good test for them against the likes of the Marines and the Elders, it was, at the end of the day, not an all-out battle, and the goal was to escape right from the get-go. As such, fans always knew that it was only an appetizer for what’s to come later down the line.

Right from the very beginning, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates have grown in the face of adversity, and that is no surprise for the fans to see. Luffy has gotten stronger with each challenge, but so have the other crewmates. Zoro and Sanji, in particular, have always been by Luffy’s side, and together, they’ve shown everyone how strong and tenacious they can be. Be it the battle against the Baroque Works, where they surpassed their limits and showed a whole new side of themselves, or the fights in Enies Lobby, where they once again, had to attain newer powers to show the world what they were truly capable of, these two have gotten it done consistently.

In the following arcs too, Zoro and Sanji have shown the world what they’re truly capable of, and fans already know that in the entire crew, these two are the most dependable members. In the post-timeskip, Zoro and Sanji have attained newer powers, which means that their strength now is on a completely different level.

In Wano, they showed what they were capable of, and pushed themselves beyond all limits one more time to attain tremendous strength. Zoro got enough power to push himself beyond even the likes of King in battle, while Sanji absolutely dismantled Queen with ease once he received his newer powers. This pushed both Zoro and Sanji to high levels and ensured that they received new bounties. As the two strongest officers of Yonko Luffy, Zoro and Sanji attained rewards of 1.111 billion berries, and 1.032 billion berries respectively. It is no surprise to know that they fully deserve these rewards, but also that they’re actually worth much more.

Elbaf Will Test The Wings Like Never Before

Elbaf Will Pit Zoro and Sanji Against The Holy Knights

So far, Zoro and Sanji, also known as the Wings of the Pirate King, have fought against Pirates mostly in the post-timeskip of One Piece. But, fans know already that now, in the Final Saga, the ultimate enemy is starting to move, and that is the likes of the Government. In fact, the Straw Hat Pirates already had an encounter with the Navy and the Government in Egghead, but now, more of the same is likely to follow. Fans know that in the Elbaf arc, in particular, the Straw Hat Pirates are now going to be up against the likes of the Holy Knights, who have already entered the country. It is going to be up to Luffy and the crew to stop them, and the story will be very exciting going forward.

Of course, on the surface, the Holy Knights might not seem like a significant threat to the fans, but the hype that they’ve generated so far says otherwise. Fans need to keep in mind that the Holy Knights are the same group that even Dragon is wary of.

Zoro and Sanji have yet to reach their peak in One Piece. Their end-of-story power will be incredible.

More importantly, their Supreme Commander, Garling Figarland, is an Elder, and their Commander, Shamrock Figarland, is Shanks’s twin brother and a fighter portrayed to be on a similar level to him. Gunko, another Holy Knight, was said to be strong enough to take on Loki, which means that the other two Holy Knights, that is, Saint Rimoshifu Killingham, and Saint Shepherd Sommers are going to be monsters in combat as well. If they’re anywhere close to Loki in power, then, that alone makes them at least as powerful as the Marine Admirals, which means that Zoro and Sanji will have Admiral level threats ahead of themselves.

Although Zoro has clashed with Kaido, and Sanji has had skirmishes with the likes of Kizaru, this is completely different. This time around, it is going to be their enemy to defeat, which means that Luffy won’t be taking over for them. This also means that Zoro and Sanji will be pushed on the back foot here, especially if the Holy Knights are as strong as they’re portrayed to be. They’ll likely struggle a bit, but eventually, surpass their limits once again to get even stronger, as is usually the case.

The Wings Of the Pirate King Will Be Elites After Elbaf

With Luffy Close To The Treasure, Zoro and Sanji Need a Power Boost

By the time Roger claimed the One Piece, he was already an elite pirate and his crew members were already elites as well. This essentially means that by the end of Elbaf, which is when Luffy will likely be the closest to the One Piece, Zoro and Sanji need to be ready and on the same level as Rayleigh and Scopper Gaban.

Otherwise, Luffy cannot compete in proper battles against the likes of Shanks, or Blackbeard, who are continuously getting stronger as the story continues. The clash with the likes of Shanks and Blackbeard is likely coming soon, immediately after Elbaf, which means they need more power here. Zoro and Sanji will emerge out of Elbaf ready to be considered as legendary pirates alongside Luffy. Their bounties will also likely have shot up by this time, especially since the Holy Knights are men of the Government, and beating them is far more serious than taking down Kaido. Fans should expect the Wings of the Pirate King to have bounties closer to around 2 billion berries after they pass the test of Elbaf with flying colors.
