Monster Hunter: Every Weapon Type And The Game They Were Introduced
Picking a weapon to main in Monster Hunter is just as hard as the hunt itself. Here’s when each was introduced to give you an idea of their legacy.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, your Palico will at times request some help from you in improving their techniques, making them more powerful or unlocking new moves altogether. And in this case, they want to make sure that you can survive even the deadliest of strikes. And for that, you have to get out into the world and find some endemic life.
How To Start A Gutsy Move Quest
Like the vast majority of the quests in Monster Hunter Wilds, your Palico will not offer the ‘A Gutsy Move’ quest until the post-game when you have unlocked High Rank. On top of that, you must have completed any and all previous quests they offer you to improve their various abilities.
With those conditions met, it’s the same as usual. When you’re back at Base Camp, your Palico will stride over towards your tent and wait for you to talk to them. After doing so, they will give you this quest, and you can get started on your hunt for a Giant Vigorwasp.
The region does not matter. Your Palico will offer the quest at every Base Camp in the game.
Where To Find A Giant Vigorwasp
As you are likely already aware, Vigorwasps are a form of endemic life that carry a massive sac of, well, vigor. Bursting this releases a cloud that slowly heals you as you’re inside it. They’re found almost everywhere and in every weather, day or night. They save you using your own healing, and affect everyone that steps inside.
Giant Vigorwasps are the exact same but bigger and better. They release a bigger cloud, last longer, and heal faster. They are also much rarer, and only appear during the Plenty. However, they can be found in every region, and the easiest place to consistently find them is the Windward Plains.
You can change the time of day and season by resting in a tent, be it at Base Camp or a Pop-Up Camp.
During the Plenty, head to the Oasis in the Windward Plains, and you will find a Giant Vigorwasp just fluttering about. Catch it in the Capture Net to satisfy your Palico’s request. Heading back to Base Camp to speak with them, they will improve one of their existing abilities, restoring even more of your HP in the middle of combat.
