This article contains slight spoilers for One Piece’s Final Saga.
Summary
- Shanks’ crew is traditional, powerful, and similar in strength, unlike other pirate groups in One Piece.
- Senior Officers of the Red Hair Pirates include Yasopp, Lucky Roux, Limejuice, and others with unique abilities.
- Each member of Shanks’ crew has a specific role and interesting design, hinting at potential future development.
Out of any other crew in the series, no other pirate group in One Piece feels more like traditional pirates than Shanks’s crew. Featuring a rag-tag group of cheery individuals who enjoy sailing and frequenting bars, Shanks’s crew has always seemed like one of the most ideal crews to idolize in One Piece. However, despite their generally jolly demeanor, being the crew of an Emperor of the Sea, the Red Hair Pirates are also incredibly powerful, sporting what many would assume to be some of the strongest characters in the series.
Additionally, Shanks has a particularly special crew in One Piece. Similar to Luffy’s crew and unlike Big Mom’s or Kaido’s, Shanks’s crew has a fairly consistent strength among them. This means that all the officers on his crew, despite not doing much in the series so far, should be incredibly powerful in their own right. These Senior Officers of Shanks’s crew, however, make up for their lack of screen time in One Piece with their interesting designs and unique abilities.

As good of a story as it is, One Piece has some pretty glaring plot holes.
Shanks’s Crew Is Lead By Himself And Benn Beckman
The Senior Officers Are Just Below The Top Of The Red Hair Pirates
Shanks’s crew, similar to other pirate crews, has a fairly consistent structure to it. At the top of the crew is Shanks, the captain, and leader of the Red Hair Pirates in One Piece. Also at the top of the crew is Benn Beckman, Shanks’s First Mate and right-hand man. Under these characters are the Senior Officers of the Red Hair Pirates. Although these characters aren’t the direct leaders of the crew, the Senior Officers do command the lower-level subordinates of the crew. These members consist of eight individuals: Yasopp, Lucky Roux, Limejuice, Bonk Punch, Monster, Building Snake, Hongo, and Gab.

Yasopp, as many fans know, is the father of the Straw Hat sniper, Usopp, and is one of the strongest snipers in the series. Luffy has claimed that he has never seen Yasopp miss a target. Additionally, Yasopp is also strong enough to destroy entire ships with a single well-placed shot, as he demonstrated by destroying Bartolomeo’s ship.

Next, Lucky Roux is another noteworthy member of Shanks’s crew, sporting both an interesting design and ability. Roux is a large, round man with a perpetual smile and is constantly eating meat. Fittingly, he is the chef of the Red Hair Pirates. In combat, he utilizes his impressive size to his advantage, yet is still fast and stealthy enough to sneak up on opponents.
