During the February 27 Pokemon Presents broadcast, The Pokemon Company revealed that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can now claim free, version-exclusive Rotom Phone covers via a code. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet additionally revealed some upcoming Seven-Star Tera Raid battles against the Paldean starters and “Pseudo-Legendary” monsters.
The Pokemon Presents episode was held for the 29th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. The video introduced new content for live-service titles like Pokemon TCG Pocket, Pokemon Unite, and Pokemon Masters EX. Pokemon Presents was headlined by an extended look at Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which will be released in late 2025. Pokemon Legends: Z-A also revealed three surprising starter Pokemon, as trainers will pick between Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile on their adventures through Lumiose City. With the return of Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, only time will tell if Meganium, Emboar, and Feraligatr will receive Mega forms.

Pokemon Champions Announced for Switch and Mobile
A new game called Pokemon Champions looks like an official version of Pokemon Showdown—and will even be available on non-Nintendo platforms.
Pokemon Scarlet players can enter the code SB00KC0VER to claim the Scarlet Case for their Rotom Phone and Pokemon Violet trainers will use VB00KC0VER to obtain the Violet Case. These Rotom Phone case codes require Pokemon trainers to connect to the Internet and select Mystery Gift in the Poke Portal menu. A Nintendo Account is also necessary. Additionally, each code can only be claimed once per save file, and the letters O, I, and Z are not used. Ergo, 0 is used instead of an O when entering the code. The Pokemon Company did not state an expiration date for the Scarlet Case and the Violet Case, so Pokemon trainers will have plenty of time to claim these version-exclusive Rotom Phone cases.

Starting on February 27 at 7:00 PM Eastern, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will face off against Meowscarada the Unrivaled, with the Tera-Grass type and the Protean Ability. The battle will end on March 6. However, Skeledirge and Quaquaval will appear in subsequent Seven-Star Tera Raids throughout the rest of March. After the Paldean Starter spotlight, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will face off against Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon in Seven-Star Tera Raids. These battles will pit trainers against tough foes like Tyranitar, Metagross, and Dragapult.
Finally, a Mass Outbreak featuring Pokemon colored red, green, and blue will run from February 28 to March 20. The colors were chosen as a callback to the first Pokemon generation, and the outbreak will feature critters like Charcadet, Poliwag, and Scyther.
