Summary
- A fan created a baby form for Duraludon named Lunchaludon.
- The adorable Lunchaludon retains the Steel/Dragon typing and design elements from Duraludon and Archaludon.
A talented Pokemon fan has created a baby form of Duraludon, adding to the dragon’s growing lineage. Since Pokemon burst onto the scene in 1996, the series has gone from being a humble RPG on the original Game Boy to a global juggernaut. In nearly 30 years, over 1,000 Pokemon across nine generations of games have been released, and the franchise shows no signs of slowing down.
Duraludon was first introduced to fans in the Gen-8 lineup as a Steel/Dragon-type monster. It wasn’t until the release of the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that the metal behemoth was given its first evolution in the form of Archaludon. Now, one fan has imagined another entry into Duraludon’s line, completing the three-stage evolution.

A user by the name of samalot_comics has posted their take on what a pre-evolved Duraludon could look like. Named Lunchaludon, and stylized after a hot dog cart, the adorable baby monster retains the duel Steel/Dragon typing seen in the current evolution line. The new monster also retains the features and color pallet seen across Duraludon and Archaludon. The artist has leaned on the cuteness seen in other baby Pokemon like Pichu, Cleffa, and Igglybuff to give Lunchaludon a loveable appearance. In the post, samalot_comics cites Godzilla Junior, along with Bub and Bob from the Bubble Bobble franchise, as key references for the creature’s endearing look.
A Talented Fan Creates A New Evolution For Duraludon
Fans are enjoying the idea of a baby form of Duraludon, with replies to the post heaping praise for Lunchaludon’s design. The Steel/Dragon-type has been one of the more popular monsters in recent generations, with one fan recently reimagining Durlaudon as a Paradox Pokemon. Here, the original poster took inspiration from the industrial age, crafting a mechanical-looking dragon coated in bronze.
With the introduction of Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the community has been busy imagining different takes on established Pokemon. These new creatures are designed as ancient or future versions of known monsters. Another talented fan created a prehistoric form of Walrein called Shivering Fang. This Paradox form took Walrein’s walrus-like appearance and reimaged it as a brutal saber-tooth tiger.
As fans continue to celebrate the franchise as it enters its 30th year, The Pokemon Company will hold a Pokemon Presents presentation on February 27 to showcase future titles. While not confirmed, it is widely expected to feature the first look at gameplay from Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The next entry will see players return to the Kalos region to explore the streets of Lumiose City, along with the reintroduction of the popular Mega Evolution mechanic.
