Gamers waiting to purchase a new gaming laptop, desktop, or a CPU/GPU upgrade soon might be in luck thanks to a new offer from AMD. Gamers can get a free standard copy of Monster Hunter Wilds, which launches later this week, with a purchase of a new AMD-powered PC or one of its more recent CPUs and GPUs.
The newly launched AMD Ryzen™ and Radeon™ Game Bundle offers a free copy of Monster Hunter Wilds when one purchases one of the following CPUs or GPUs:

No Free Game For AMD’s X3D CPU Consumers?
Interestingly, both of AMD’s highly sought-after gaming-centric X3D CPUs, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the 9800X3D, are notably absent from the list as are the upcoming Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 9950X3D CPUs, which seems to suggest that AMD is looking to entice gamers to purchase more of its non-X3D options currently.
Given that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and its Zen 4-based sibling are regularly out of stock, this does seem to be a relatively understandable business decision as Team Red looks to broaden the appeal of its CPUs and GPUs to new consumers.
This is in addition to a Japan-specific restriction where the Ryzen 5 9600X is not part of the promotion. AMD including four of its older Ryzen 7000 series (Zen 4) CPUs and last-generation Radeon 7000 series GPUs does indicate that the promotion is considerably broader than just its current-generation lineup, even as its Radeon 9000 series GPUs are expected to be unveiled in the coming week.

The documentation made available by AMD does clarify that only laptops with the following CPU configurations from the list below are eligible for the promotion:
- AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 300 Series
- AMD Ryzen™ 7000HX, 7000X3D Series
- AMD Ryzen™ 8000 Series
- AMD Ryzen™ AI Max Series
The promotion, which started on February 25, 2025, will last until April 26, 2025. Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28 after a series of successful playtests (February 6-9 and February 13-17, 2025 respectively).
Codes received need to be redeemed via AMD’s reward website and a Steam account is required to redeem the code and/or play the game. AMD also notes that while the promotion ends on the 26th of April 2025, users have time till May 24, 2025, to redeem codes if they receive one.
