Can you transmog items in Monster Hunter Wilds? With any new armor piece being an upgrade on the previous one in the early game, you might look a bit mismatched as you take your first steps into the world of MH Wilds. There are ways you can create a matching set, at least visually, which makes it easy to look good while you’re doing guild business.
We have a ton of MH Wilds best builds for you to maximize your power, and while they are unrivaled in terms of damage and defense, the armor sets in Wilds can be divisive; looking like a rubber plague doctor may be okay for some, but others may prefer a sleeker look. Whether you’re rocking the MH Wilds Long Sword or the MH Wilds Bow, here’s how Monster Hunter Wilds transmog works.
How to transmog in Monster Hunter Wilds
To transmog your armor in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to have access to high-level armor sets. Crafting one of these sets unlocks the transmog for that particular set of armor. Here’s how transmog in Monster Hunter Wilds:
- Visit your tent
- Tab over to the appearance section
- Go down to equipment appearance
- Apply your unlocked transmogs
In the equipment appearance menu you can also apply various custom color schemes to your armor, this also applies to any new armor you equip. There is no way to transmog your weapons just yet, but that function was added in a DLC pack for Worlds, so we’re hopeful that Monster Hunter Wilds will get the same treatment.
Now that you know how to transmog your armor in Monster Hunter Wilds, there’s no excuse for a bad outfit. If you’ve yet to pick a main weapon, check out our guides on the MH Wilds Insect Glaive, and the MH Wilds Gunlance; two of the slightly more advanced weapons, but ones that can be satisfying and rewarding when mastered.
