You’ll collect different types of furniture during your Hello Kitty Island Adventure playthrough that you can use to decorate Visitor cabins. Each Visitor will have a list of requirements for their cabin before they arrive. It’s up to you to have everything in order before their respective deadlines.
One of the Visitors wants the Rustic Bookcase from Gemstone Mountain. There are two ways of getting the Rustic Bookcase in Island Adventure, but one method is more reliable.

Rustic Bookcase Location on Gemstone Mountain
Where to Find the Rustic Bookcase
The Rustic Bookcase is found in a chest within a puzzle room on Gemstone Mountain. To reach the puzzle room, follow the eastern path leading out of Gemstone Town. You’ll eventually find a circular pond with a waterfall and a small island in the middle. On the other side of the water is a puzzle room that can only be opened by pressing both purple switches at the same time.
Because of this, you’ll want to have a Companion with you. It doesn’t matter who you have, but if you struggle with Island Adventure‘s puzzle rooms, you may want to bring Chococat. In any case, stand on one switch, and your companion will stand on the other one.
The Rustic Bookcase may also be on sale at Small Gift Big Smile/My Melody’s store. To buy it, you’ll need x30 Shiny and x3 Feather. Unfortunately, My Melody’s wares are randomized and changed every day, so this isn’t a reliable way of getting the bookcase.
Triple Trouble Puzzle Room Walkthrough
How to Solve Triple Trouble
Inside is a puzzle (Triple Trouble) that requires you to press switches so that all the symbols are displayed. Solve this, and you’ll unlock the door with the treasure chest containing the Rustic Bookcase.
The Triple Trouble puzzle can be, well, tricky. Pressing any of the white buttons will not only turn the stone behind them, but it will also turn the adjacent stones. There are five switches. At the start, you will only have the green X and the blue triangle. You need the stands to display the purple circle, red heart, and yellow star.
Triple Trouble Puzzle Solution
From left to right, you have switches 1 (purple circle), 2 (green X), 3 (red heart), 4 (yellow star), and 5 (blue triangle). Select them in this order:
- Push the first switch closest to the door (purple circle).
- Push the third switch, the one in the middle (red heart).
- Push the fifth switch, the one next to the stairs (blue triangle).
- Return to the third/center switch and push it again.
- Press the second switch, the one that had the green X at the beginning.

Visitor Chiffon
While some Visitors require a set amount of furniture from a specific category, other Visitors are pickier. Chiffon is one such example. She needs to have the Rustic Bookcase in her room before arriving. If you manage to get Chiffon to 5-stars, you’ll have the option to make her a permanent resident.
