Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – The Lion’s Den Quest Walkthrough
Infiltrate Sigismund’s army in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s The Lion’s Den quest.
During The Lion’s Den quest, you can start a pretty interesting side mission, Spoils of War, that is triggered by talking to Captain Puta. It features a choice, so here we will guide which one to choose.
How To Start Spoils of War Quest
Once you are in Sigismund’s camp, you can look around for Captain Puta. Go inside the camp from the north gate, take a right, and just after a few steps, the Captain can be found eating with his comrades on the left during the daytime.
Once you locate Captain Puta, talk to him, and you will trigger the Spoils of War quest. Shortly after, a cutscene will start, and you will find yourself in the town of Bohunowitz.
The captain will ask you to check the supplies at four different places. Head to each site, and, after obtaining the supplies, put them on the cart.
After you have done that, you can talk to Bynyek to ask whether the townspeople are hiding anything. Pass a skill check in order to get the information out of him, and once done, he will tell you about a few places to look at to find more supplies.
Secret Supplies Location
As Bynyek has told you, there are more supplies hidden. Smil has hidden a bag of food in the barn that you can take. In order to get the bag, go to the barn behind his house, and at the bottom right corner, you will notice another in the hay.
That bag contains more food, so if you want the villagers to starve, take the food and put it in the chest. On the other side of the yard, you can also find some beer locked behind the cellar door. The door is difficult to lockpick. Upon getting the beer from that place, you will complete “Find the hidden beer”, a hidden objective.
After finding the beer, you can talk to Smil and confront him. While he will deny knowing about the beer, you can choose the option “I wanted to make a deal.” After that, ask for silver, and Smil will ask you to come back after a few days so he can sell some beer and pay you.
After finding the beer, you can tell Puta about it. You won’t lose your reputation by finding the hidden beer.
On the second floor of Fowl’s barn, you can also find more supplies. You shouldn’t take the hidden supplies, as this will cause Bynyek to say you have taken too much.
You can find Fowl’s hidden cows by following the manure on the ground. You can either tell the captain about it or stay quiet.
Also, you can examine the injured Vitek in Willow’s house. After examining him, give him alcohol or a painkiller brew. After that, clean his wound with alcohol and dress it with bandages. Upon healing Vitek, you can ask what happened to him.
You can then talk to Willow and tell him that you have treated Vitek. After that, he will explain what happened to him. Here, you can choose to keep quiet or mention what happened to the soldiers to the captain.
The Best Outcome
The best outcome is, of course, if you can prevent the fight altogether. If the villagers don’t provide enough supplies, the captain will order you and the others to kill everyone. You can side with the villagers and kill the soldiers or, side with Puta to annihilate the townspeople.
However, you can prevent the worst outcome. Put the initial supplies given by the villagers into the cart and talk to the captain. Choose the option “I found some valuables” and pay him around 1500-2000 groschen from your own pocket.
He will get a little suspicious, so you convince him with the persuasion check. If you don’t, he will attack you, and you will be tasked with killing all the soldiers. The fight won’t be that hard, but the captain is equipped with pretty nice gear. So, it is better to avoid fighting.
If you don’t want to pay this massive sum, then your only options are to either kill the villagers or defend them. However, you can always make more money, and at this point, you will already have plenty of armor and weapons from your previous fights. You can sell that stuff at the camp, which can earn you way more than a mere 1500-2000 Groschen.
