The Mariana’s Veil update in Roblox‘s Fisch has introduced five secret fish. Unlike regular ones, these are massive creatures that play a cutscene when caught — similar to the Megalodon and Kraken. Among them is the Magma Leviathan, a giant dragon-like fish that looks like it breathes lava.

Fisch: How to Complete the Volcanic Vents Bestiary
Wondering how to finish the Volcanic Vents Bestiary in Fisch and catch all native fish? Here’s how to do so fast.
The most challenging and exciting thing is that you’ll need one to solve the Giant Gate puzzle in the Calm Zone (the fourth trench layer). So, snagging it is a must if you want to reach the deepest parts of Mariana’s Veil. Here’s how to catch the secret Magma Leviathan in Fisch.
Where To Find Secret Magma Leviathan In Fisch
The secret Magma Leviathan can be found in the lava pond at Volcanic Vents in Fisch. Like all secret fish, it’ll bite automatically when reeling in the lava pond, so you don’t have to wait for a server event hunt. Luckily, this pond is in the first layer of Mariana’s Veil, making it the easiest secret fish spot to reach. But before heading there, you’ll need to complete Dr. Glimmerfin’s submarine-building quest — since only a watercraft can take you into the ocean depths.
Once you’re in your submarine, head to Mariana’s Veil entrance at Roslit Bay and start diving. Since all the other cave layers are locked, you’ll be forced to reach the vents after a few minutes. Inside there, walk south from the Submarine Shipwright, then head west when the cave blocks your path. Just keep following this route, and you’ll eventually reach the Volcanic Vents pond.
Remember to bring your Advanced Glider, as the path has sections where you’ll need to jump over rocks; getting burnt several times can cost you a life.
How To Catch Secret Magma Leviathan In Fisch
To get a secret Magma Leviathan in Fisch, use Truffle Worm bait and cast your line anywhere in the Volcanic Vents lava pond during the daytime, in foggy weather, and in summer. Since this creature thrives in warm, high-temperature environments, these conditions increase your chances of getting a bite. Also, luck is a big factor, as without this stat, it might take hours of grinding to reel one. Here’s what you need to do to catch a Magma Leviathan in Fisch.
First, collect enough Truffle Worm bait by opening Volcanic Geodes. Also, keep a stock of other high-luck bait like Fish Head, as it works too if you run out of Truffle Worms. Then equip a rod with high luck and resilience stats, like the Hasty Enchanted Heaven’s Rod or Rod of the Forgotten Fang. If you don’t have those, the Tempest Rod or Abyssal Specter Rod will also work.
Next, wait for summer. Sadly, there’s no in-game item to change seasons, so you’ll have to wait real-time hours (around eight) for summer to arrive. Check the Fisch wiki to track when it’s coming. When the season is right, and you’re ready with everything, you have two options:
- Change the weather to foggy by using Smokescreen Totems, then boost your luck with Server Luck or Merlin VI (costs 5,000 in-game cash).
- Trigger an Aurora Borealis event by using an Aurora Totem (if you have the money) or join a public server where the event is already active to take advantage of its effects.
With everything right, hop into the Volcanic Vents lava pond, cast your line, and soon, the Magma Leviathan will bite. It has a -90 Progress Speed, and a deep maroon exclamation mark will show up when it’s hooked.
