Afterlove EP is a different kind of story from the creator of Coffee Talk and follows a young musician named Rama as he tries to reconnect with old friends and his band after a tragic event tears them apart. Blending elements from rhythm games and visual novels, Afterlove relies on the power of music and friendship to present a slice-of-life adventure filled with humor and relatable characters.
Once Rama convinces his band to get back together, they quickly find themselves on a tight timeline to master a setlist of songs to continue their future together. The game features multiple endings and narrative paths that are determined by your choices, so your band’s success depends on how you approach everyday situations and communicate with others.

Neo Cab
Neo Cab launched in 2019 and was one of the first games published by Fellow Traveller to garner enough attention to help it earn nominations at award ceremonies. Despite being around four to five hours long, the game excels at tackling heavy themes like capitalism and gentrification with a nuanced approach that’s easy to connect with.

The Best Visual Novels On The Nintendo Switch
If you’ve got a Nintendo Switch and you’re into visual novels, you’re in luck! The Switch has quite a few, and these are the best ones to check out.
You play as Lina, a rideshare driver who moves to a new town and discusses a variety of topics with her clients as she familiarizes herself with the area. The stellar writing and synth-heavy soundtrack create an absorbing atmosphere that makes it hard not to complete Neo Cab in a single shift.
7
Beacon Pines
Despite the cute character design and seemingly cozy vibes, Beacon Pines is a narrative-adventure game that uses an adorable aesthetic to mask its surprisingly dark and unnerving story. Presented as if you were reading a novel, you’ll follow a group of young friends as they uncover their town’s darkest secrets.
Like other adventure games, your actions will determine how the story is presented to you and what ending you might receive (there are 13 in total, with only one acting as the true finale). You’ll need to explore all of these different timelines to pick up items known as “Charms” that allow you to tie loose ends and discover new paths forward.
6
The Pale Beyond
The Pale Beyond is a chilling role-playing and management game that puts you in charge of a crew during an Antarctic expedition after the captain suddenly goes missing. To survive, you’ll need to make important decisions like when to eat food and how much fuel to use while making sure your team stays on your side and doesn’t turn against you.
There are no easy decisions in The Pale Beyond, and every choice feels like it could make or break the morale of the ship. The Pale Beyond is one of the more unique games published by Fellow Traveller because it borrows ideas from different genres and focuses more on compelling gameplay over a riveting narrative.

Pine: A Story Of Loss

Pine: A Story of Loss is one of the shortest games in Fellow Travellers catalog. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours to finish it, but that’s all the time it needs to leave a lasting impression on you. After a woodworker loses the love of his life, he secludes himself in the wooded area they used to call home to reminisce about their relationship and battle his grief.

Video game dads have a habit of being the biggest wet blankets for some reason; these are the saddest dads in games.
There is no dialogue throughout Pine: A Story of Loss, but it doesn’t need words to connect the audience to the heartbroken protagonist and his struggles. Instead, the music and animation work together seamlessly to tell a short but devastating story that will stick with you long after you’ve completed it.

Paradise Killer
Paradise Killer is an open-world adventure game that follows a detective named Lady Love Dies as she investigates the murders of The Syndicate, a group of elite beings attempting to create the perfect society. You’ll need to walk around Paradise Island to search for clues and interrogate the locals – including some old friends – to uncover the truth behind the massacre.
The game allows you to move around at your own pace, so where you go and who you talk to at any given point is completely in your control. Lady Love Dies can end her investigation at any point, so once you think you’ve figured out who the culprit is, you can send them to court right away to try to convict them, or search around for more concrete evidence to help build your case.
3
Citizen Sleeper
If you’re a fan of tabletop role-playing games or science-fiction, then Citizen Sleeper should be the perfect game for you. After the protagonist finds themselves on a space station known as The Eye, they will need to fight for their own survival by befriending other characters, planning their days accordingly, and managing resources.
Every new day in Citizen Sleeper allows you to roll a few dice that will determine how successful you are at performing actions like stripping metal off a machine or investigating a new secret. This might sound overwhelming at first, but the game does an excellent job of guiding you through its many mechanics and never feels unfair.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector launched only a couple of years after its predecessor gripped players with its rich narrative and ambient atmosphere. The sequel contains many of the same mechanics that made the first game so special while introducing new ideas, like the ability to explore other locations across space, to enhance the role-playing experience.
Every decision or dice roll can lead you toward numerous narratives that make each playthrough feel distinct. You don’t need to play the original Citizen Sleeper before hopping into Starward Vector, but there are some recurring characters and themes that will feel more rewarding when you’ve completed the whole series.

1000xRESIST
1000xResist is the epitome of the kinds of games Fellow Traveller has become known for publishing. It immediately draws you into its world with wonderful writing and an intriguing premise and continues to keep you in its grasp as the mind-blowing narrative unravels itself. It can be a bit confusing at the start, but once it gets going, you won’t want to put it down.
You control a character known as Watcher, one of the final beings left on earth after a devastating pandemic takes over the planet. As per your name, your job is to revisit and relive the memories of the Allmother (the leader of humanity after the pandemic) to keep them preserved. 1000xResist uses this template to explore heavy themes and weaves them together to create an adventure you won’t forget anytime soon.
