Rainbow Animals & Rarities Explained
Like many other great Gacha games, rarity is a core mechanic in Tiny Pasture. The rarity of a critter is determined when the animal is spawned either through breeding or purchase in the store. This modifier interacts with the animal’s base species to determine how quickly they earn money. There are five rarity levels in the game:
- Common (one star)
- Uncommon (two stars)
- Rare (three stars)
- Very Rare (four stars)
- Rainbow (five stars)
The higher the rarity level, the more money the animal will earn, sometimes out-earning an animal of a more expensive species. In addition to being the highest rarity, rainbow animals have uncapped earnings potential, which means that they can earn massive amounts of cash compared to other critters.
How To See An Animal’s Rarity In Tiny Pasture
There are several ways that players can see an animal’s rarity. The rarity is visible:
- As a colored outline around the animal in the pasture, with the colors (gray, blue, yellow, red, and rainbow) each showing a rarity.
- When the animal is spawned, the rarity will be shown as stars on the details card.
- By clicking on the pasture icon in the bottom left (the house) and clicking on an animal, players will be able to see its rarity in the detailed view.
How To Get Rainbow Animals In Tiny Pasture
Rainbow animals, the coveted five-star rarity, exist for every species in the game. They can be received in one of two ways — through the breeding facility or via buying. The base chance for a rainbow animal to appear is very small, but there are a couple of things that players can do to increase their chances.
- Breed two rainbow-quality animals together. This nearly guarantees that the juvenile will be a rainbow too. Make sure to select a random color for a chance to record a new type of rainbow in your log.
- Use the group buy function in the shop to target high rarities (more on that below).
To breed a rainbow rarity animal, at least one parent must be a rainbow rarity. However, keep in mind that breeding causes the parents to leave the pasture. Breeding is not a good way to increase overall pasture earnings via rainbow animals.
The Best Way To Farm Rainbow Animals In Tiny Pasture
The best way to farm Rainbow Animals is by far the group buy option. To group buy:
- Navigate to the store menu, where new animals can be bought.
- Select the animal you wish to buy.
- Choose the “Buy Multiple” option from the resulting dialogue box.
- Select the maximum Star level, and either click “Buy 10 times” or “Continue Buying.”
- This will cause the game to buy the animal repeatedly until either the cap of 10 is reached, money runs out, or the desired rarity is achieved.
- Players will then be able to add this animal to their pasture as normal.
Because it contains an element of RNG and functions by spending money until the desired draw is found, group buying can quickly get expensive. It is advisable to save a large amount of coins before attempting to roll a rainbow animal.
