These are the biggest changes coming to Overwatch 2.

From useful buffs to brand-new abilities, Perks provide a great way to adapt your Hero and playstyle to whatever you face. Many Perks make your Hero deal more damage and increase their damage output to new heights. Some Heroes are much better with certain Perks, so it’s important to know who has the strongest Perks to help you wipe out the enemy team.

Lucio – Accelerando

Speed Boosting On Through

Lucio Speed Boosting Through The Air With His Accelerando Perk In Oasis In Overwatch 2.

Many Lucio mains love to play him as more of a Sub-DPS and with this Major Perk you may never see your Lucio wanting to heal again. The Accelerando Perk increases Lucio’s attack speed for all of his attacks by 50 percent while Amp It Up is active, making him even speedier in both movement and damage.

Who cares about countering your foes when you can just wall-ride into their backline and crush the opposing healers at the speed of sound? DPS Lucio genuinely becomes a valid playstyle for Lucio with this Perk and is no longer just a joke. For that alone, we adore this Perk as it gives Lucio a much-needed buff.

Winston – Chain Lightning

Shocking Developments

Winston Using The Chain Lightining Perk To Hit Four Targets At Once In Overwatch 2.

Winston’s damage is often referred to as just a tickle gun, so this Perk looks to strengthen it by helping him spread it across multiple foes. The Major Perk, Chain Lightning, makes any fully charged secondary-fire shots from Winston’s Tesla Cannon ricochet off the target to two nearby foes, dealing the same damage.

This is great for dealing with crowds or any retreating foes, as it practically doubles your damage output without requiring any more skill to use. Winston always needed something that could help him with crowd control, and this Perk does more than enough.

Zenyatta – Focused Destruction

Zenyatta Charging Up Six Of His Orbs To Fire Them At Enemies In King's Row In Overwatch 2.

Zenyatta already packs quite a punch thanks to his Orb of Discord, and anyone who mains him will understand how great this Major Perk is. The Focused Destruction Perk deserves this name as it makes Zenyatta’s secondary fire charge 20 percent faster and gives him the ability to store one more orb in the charge.

Pick the right Perks, and you’ll go from ‘healer’ to ‘hero’.

Both of these mean that Zenyatta can do a ton more damage to better protect his allies and himself, as even just a single increase makes it so a fully charged circle can do 300 damage without critical hits or an Orb of Discord. If you were to Discord your foe beforehand, this would result in a staggering 375 damage!

Soldier: 76 – Stim Pack

Questionable Battle Enhancements

Soldier: 76 Using His Stim Pack Perk To Buff Himself In Eichenwalde In Overwatch 2.

Soldier: 76 has always been a consistent Hero to pick up and play and now, with this damage buffing Major Perk he can do even more. The Stim Pack Perk gives you the option to turn your Biotic Field into a buff that increases your attack speed and reload speed by 30 percent if you want to.

This does come with the huge drawback of being unable to be healed for four seconds, making you an easy target, but the increase in fire rate and reload speed makes Soldier a menace. Combining this risky Perk with his Ultimate allows you to shred anyone who enters your sight range.

6

Zarya – Gravitation Crush

Crushing The Competition

Zarya Shielding Herself While Attacking An Enemy Cassidy Trapped In Her Graviton Surge In Overwatch 2.

Zarya is one of the strongest and most versatile Tanks who can be a pain to counter, and this Minor Perk makes her even more of a threat. The Gravitation Crush is self-explanatory; it makes Graviton Surge crush any foes who get trapped in it by dealing 30 percent of their max health over its duration.

Graviton Surge is already one of the best Ultimates, and this Perk helps it provide a ridiculous chunk of health to all who get trapped inside. Usually, Zarya has to rely on her teammates to help finish off any foes inside the Surge, but now she can output more than enough herself.

5

Cassidy – Quick Draw

The Fastest Hand In The West

Cassidy Using Fan The Hammer On Blizzard World In Overwatch 2.

Cassidy is a strong Damage Hero who rewards skillful use of his kit, and with this Minor Perk, the most skilled of players can now get even more out of him. The Quick Draw Perk makes Cassidy’s secondary fire, Fan the Hammer, much more consistent by allowing you to control and fire each individual shot one by one.

Pick the right perks, or get out-dueled by a Mercy with a pistol.

On its own, this is really nice as it allows you to shoot faster than your primary fire while giving you the chance to control the strong recoil that Fan the Hammer usually has, but this isn’t all the Perk does. It also allows Fan the Hammer to land critical hits that do 50 percent more damage, making it great for shredding big health bars!

4

Sojourn – Adhesive Siphon

Stick It To ‘Em

Sojourn Shooting Her Disrupting Shot And Sticking It To An Enemy Ana Using The Adhesive Siphon Perk In Overwatch 2.

Sojourn has a strong kit that allows her to dish out plenty of damage and, with a Perk or two, she can become an absolute power house. The Adhesive Major Perk is what gives her the best upgrade as it causes the Disruptor Shot to stick to the target it hits and attaches to them.

Unlike a lot of other Perks, this does not come with a damage decrease or a downside that would balance out how strong this is. As it is, this Perk is incredible, as now you can guarantee that your target stays inside your Disruptor Shot for its entire duration, and they might even cause some accidental collateral damage by walking into their teammates.

3

Reaper – Dire Triggers

Double The Power

Reaper Using His Dire Triggers Perk To Shoot Both Shotguns At Once In Eichenwalde In Overwatch 2.

Unlocking this Major Perk for Reaper will make claiming more lives much easier. The Dire Triggers Perk grants Reaper a new secondary-fire option that shoots a volley from both shotguns, which has a long-range and packs a strong punch.

Firing both shotguns at once leads to this ability being great for doing a huge burst of instant damage and gives Reaper a decent option to hit far-away targets. There is a little bit of ending lag after the shot, so it is best used to finish off your opponent.

2

Bastion – Lindholm Explosives

An Ultimate Turned Into An Ability

Lego Bastion Shooting Explosive Shots With His Lindholm Explosives Perk In Eichenwalde In Overwatch 2.

If you have ever felt like Bastion’s new Ultimate is weak, then this Major Perk will give you an Ultimate-like ability to use whenever you please. The Lindholm Explosives Perk changes Bastion’s Configuration: Artillery to now shoot missiles, just like how his old Configuration: Tank Ultimate used to work.

Tanks are built to last, and these perks make sure of that.

While using this, it almost feels like they didn’t even decrease the damage from when this was his Ultimate, as Bastion can melt any low HP Hero with just a couple of indirect shots. Being able to activate this strong form on a cooldown is incredible and makes Bastion become quite fearful.

1

Hanzo – Scatter Arrows

Arrows Made From Nightmares

Hanzo Using His Scatter Arrows Perk To Split His Arrow Into Three Arrows On Blizzard World In Overwatch 2.

This Perk sends shivers of fear down the spine of any classic Overwatch 1 player because it brings back Hanzo’s most deadly ability. The Minor Perk Scatter Arrows brings back the dreaded Scatter Arrow ability, which causes the arrows shot to ricochet off surfaces, splitting into three separate arrows when they do.

This Perk literally just combines Hanzo’s old Scatter Arrow ability with his Storm Arrows, and the results are as lethal as they sound. This ability increases each Storm Arrow’s potential damage through the roof and allows you to decimate multiple foes in seconds. This Perk might genuinely be even stronger than the old Scatter Arrow, which was purely based on how fast the Storm Arrows can be shot.
