As good of a story as it is, One Piece has some pretty glaring plot holes.

What Are The Treasure Tree Adam And Sunlight Tree Eve In One Piece?

Two Important Trees For Various Arcs In One Piece

In One Piece, the Treasure Tree Adam has been an extremely important part of the current Elbaf Arc. This tree was first introduced to the series during the Enies Lobby Arc by Franky, with the shipwright purchasing wood from the tree to create the Thousand Sunny. Notably, the wood of this tree is exceptionally strong. Additionally, an incredibly large and ancient Adam Tree grows on the One Piece island of Elbaf, housing the Ancient Mural, drawings that are from the Void Century.

On the flip side, the Sunlight Tree Eve in One Piece is a massive tree that allows for sustained life under the ocean at Fishman Island. This tree is able to absorb sunlight and transfer it to its roots, providing light for Fishman Island far below the surface. Additionally, the tree also respites, allowing the Fishmen to have access to air as well. As Neptune mentions during One Piece’s Fishman Island Arc, the Sunlight Tree Eve may be related to the Yarukiman Mangrove from Sabaody Archipelago. Despite the importance of the tree to Fishman Island, the location of the top of the tree has never been shown in the series.

The Adam And Eve Trees Should Be Connected

Their Names Suggest They Are Linked

  • The Trees May Reveal Information About The Void Century
  • The Adam And Eve Trees Are Most Likely Connected

Based on their naming conventions, it’s easy to see why many fans believe these trees are related. Firstly, and most obviously, the trees are named after the biblical figures, Adam and Eve. Being the first humans, some have theorized that the trees may be connected to the ancient world of One Piece, namely the Void Century. Additionally, with the introduction of the Ancient Mural, it seems that these ancient trees may hold more secrets than fans first anticipated.

At the same time, Usopp himself also notes that the Adam and Eve Trees in One Piece could be related based on their names alone. With one reaching well below the surface, and the other growing massively high towards the sky, these trees could be the exact opposite of one another. Additionally, similarly to the Biblical story of Adam and Eve, these trees could potentially be figures from the Void Century that are being punished, forcing them to become nearly immortal trees.

The Reveal Of The Top Of The Sunlight Tree Eve Will Answer Many Questions

The Tree Top May Be In Mary Geoise

One Piece Mary Geoise

However, outside of speculation, little is known about the true connection between the Treasure Tree Adam and the Sunlight Tree Eve in One Piece. However, with many fans predicting that the top of the Eve tree rests in One Piece’s Mary Geoise, seeing the full version of the Sunlight Tree Eve may be close. When the full tree is revealed, hopefully, the connection between these two trees will become more apparent.

Until then, fans will just have to theorize the connection between the Treasure Tree Adam and Eve trees in One Piece. Overall, based on their names alone, it’s incredibly likely that these two trees are connected in the story One Piece. With One Piece delving deep into its Final Saga, and Fishman Island still being relevant to the story, fans will most likely receive their answers about the trees sometime in the near future.
