Summary

  • Funko has revealed a new line of collectibles called Bitty Pop Arcades.
  • The tiny arcade machines come with Bitty Pop characters that match their theme.
  • The first four designs include Sonic and Five Nights At Freddy’s and will be released during WonderCon.

Funko tends to make a lot of announcements on any given week, but it has been working overtime these past 24 hours. That’s because, with only a month to go, it has decided now is the right time to reveal what it will have to show off at this year’s WonderCon. Quite a lot it turns out, including an all-new line of collectibles with famous Bitty Pops as the stars.

Bitty Pop Arcades will be available for the first time at WonderCon with four designs kicking off what will presumably be a growing collection if all goes to plan. Among the four designs are two that will include miniature Pop versions of iconic video game characters – Sonic the Hedgehog, and Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights At Freddy’s.

You can’t play CrossWorlds yet, but you can rep it.

The Five Nights At Freddy’s figure is a claw machine rather than a regular arcade cabinet which is a nice touch.

Joining Sonic and Freddy with Bitty Pop Arcades of their own will be Tron and Wreck-It Ralph, both of which make a lot of sense to kick off this range, particularly Ralph. The Disney character’s whole deal is that he lives inside an arcade game and can travel to others, something he will technically be able to do here since the Bitty Pops that come with their respective displays can naturally be removed and placed elsewhere.

Funko Has Revealed A New Line Of Bitty Pop Arcades

The First Four Designs Will Be Available During WonderCon

Although the tiny machines won’t be playable or interactive in any way, these aren’t just generic cabinets with different characters inside. Each of them has been designed to match the Bitty Pop they come with. Sonic’s arcade display, for example, is decked out in artwork reminiscent of the Blue Blur’s first game – strong Green Hill vibes. The Bitty Pop Sonic has a ring in its hand and, judging by the images shared by Funko, will have a little box of its own within the bigger arcade display box.

The Arcade Displays will cost just $8 each when they’re released during next month’s WonderCon. The convention runs from March 28 through March 30 and while the new line of collectibles will presumably be available to buy in person, they should also be listed on Funko’s website at some point during the same weekend for those who aren’t at the convention, so keep your eyes peeled.

Joining them will be two new One Piece Pops – Nami and her Hobby Horse as a Deluxe Pop Ride, and a Funko debut for Bartholomew Kuma. Funko has also revealed a Jumbo Suicune Pop releasing during WonderCon that I hazard to guess will be the most popular of the figures revealed so far.
