The price gouging was borderline insulting.

Today, the Pokemon Company revealed a brand new Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection, similar to previous Ultra Premium Collections, and unsurprisingly, fans are already dreading trying to get their hands on it.

The Pokemon Company Just Revealed What Is Likely To Be One Of The Hottest Products In Years

The new product will be loaded with Prismatic Evolutions and Eevee-themed goodies. Given the furor around the TCG at the moment and the popularity of Eevee and its evolutions, the Super-Premium is likely to be the most sought-after product we’ve seen in a while.

It contains:

  • 15 Prismatic Evolutions Booster Packs
  • An Eevee ex Special Illustration Rare Promo Card
  • A plush Eevee deck box
  • An Eeveelutions playmat
  • 65 Eeveelutions-themed card sleeves

A relative feast for Pokemon TCG collectors.

Hella dope, but going to be impossible to buy unless you’re part robot.

Naturally, given the supply issues the TCG has been facing at the moment, which have prompted The Pokemon Company to issue a statement declaring more stock is coming, fans are worried.

Over on the Pokemon TCG subreddit, collectors have already begun to voice their concerns. One user said, “Hella dope, but going to be impossible to buy unless you’re part robot,” and the product was called the “Super Premium Scalper Bundle” by another.

The fact that the TCG is in this state, where genuine collectors are worrying about getting products, is not a good look for Pokemon. Prismatic Evolutions alone was scalped long before its release, and retail stores have been accused of scalping their own listings. Things aren’t looking any better for the upcoming Journey Together expansion either, with products already being sold for well above RRP.

The scalping is indicative of a wider problem within the community, which has seen individual cards rise in price by more than 150 percent.
