We’ve known for some time now that Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s next expansion, A2a, would be coming at the end of this month, causing stress and anxiety for players. The expectation is the new set will be revealed during the upcoming Pokemon Day Pokemon Presents livestream ahead of its release on February 28.

You could be sleeping on these winning decks.
Ahead of tomorrow’s event, however, a new advert on TikTok may have gone live early, revealing the name of the new set, plus some of the new cards coming.
Triumphant Light Is The Next Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Expansion
The new advert was first shared on the Pokemon TCG Pocket subreddit, and it shows off the new set name, some new cards, and the new pack artwork.
It appears that Triumphant Light will be centered around the God Pokemon, Arceus, with an Arceus ex card prominently featured. The Creator Pokemon also features on the front of the expansion’s new packs.
The new Arceus ex card certainly looks like it could shake up the game’s meta. Its 140 HP is not to be sniffed at, and its Ability and Attack are very powerful.
Arceus ex’s Fabled Luster stops the Pokemon from being affected by any Special Conditions, and its Ultimate Force attack deals 70 damage, plus 30 more for each of your benched Pokemon, at a cost of three colorless energies. Given that it’s a basic Pokemon with no specific energy requirements, it’s likely to be a staple of many decks.
Other new cards in the set include Magnemite, Eevee, and Golbat.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Ranked Battles May Also Be Revealed During Pokemon Presents
Alongside the upcoming expansion, it now seems highly likely that DeNA will be adding ranked matches to Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Last month, a leaker surprised everybody, revealing that the next set (Space-Time Smackdown) would focus on Generation 4’s Diamond and Pearl, as opposed to what many expected to be Johto and Gold and Silver.
This same leaker has posted a simple tease stating, “Ranked battles in March”.
Exciting news for those who, like me, battling has gone stale for.
