Path of Exile 2 garnered a lot of excitement during its development, with players eager to dive into all the content GGG had been promising. Once it finally launched in early access in December 2024, the game delivered on those promises. Since it’s still in development, the game remains a work in progress, with many aspects in need of improvement—some of which became evident after the controversies surrounding Path of Exile 2’s release. Grinding Gear Games hired data analyst Lilylicious to examine game logs and compile various stats on Path of Exile 2. The numbers, covering the period from February 18 to 25, reveal that the most popular Path of Exile 2 class is a tie between the Stormweaver and the Invoker, with 19.04% of players choosing them. Notably, the exact number of players has not been disclosed, but given the percentages, it’s likely that both classes have a similar player count.

The development of PoE 2 is consuming nearly all of GGG’s resources, even causing delays to the original PoE.
