That’s precisely what fans will get in One Piece’s Elbaf arc, and Oda has already teased some absolutely massive battles to come. It is safe to say that this phase of the arc is now going to be used by Oda to develop the upcoming major conflicts at the end of the arc, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what comes next.

- Shamrock And Gunko Arrived On Elbaf At First
- Oda Has Now Introduced Two More Holy Knights
For quite a while, fans weren’t entirely sure as to who the main villains of the Elbaf arc were going to be. This was quite a big head-scratcher for the fans as usually, arcs in One Piece have established enemies for Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates to face in battle. For instance, in Fishman Island, fans knew that Holy Jones would be the enemy right at the very beginning, and Caesar was introduced as a villain very early into Punk Hazard as well. In Dressrosa, fans already knew that Luffy would clash with Doflamingo, and in Whole Cake Island, the Big Mom Pirates were the enemies. In Wano, Kaido was marked as the enemy to take down long ago, and fans already knew this. Even Egghead was somewhat similar as the Marines quickly moved their forces within moments of the Straw Hat Pirates setting foot on the island.
With your powers, you could make this a game! — Shamrock Figarland
Elbaf, on the other hand, was somewhat different, as the Straw Hat Pirates simply landed in a peaceful nation that had largely isolated itself from world trade, among other things. Surprisingly, Loki was hyped up to be the big bad guy for the Elbaf arc of One Piece, and fans felt as if he would eventually lead to Ragnarok, which would be the main plot of the arc. Surprisingly, that did not happen in the Elbaf arc of One. Soon after, the Holy Knights decided to move and fans saw two of them in Elbaf all of a sudden. These were revealed to be Shamrock Figarland and Gunko. Shamrock was also revealed to be the younger twin of Shanks, and at the same time, fans also got the reason for their being in Elbaf. To put things simply, they wanted to take control of Elbaf, and their way of doing so was to invite Loki to the rank of Holy Knights, and through him, gain control of the country as he was their Prince.

Of course, Loki refused the offer, which is when they changed their plan. The Holy Knights then went on to call two more members, and these were revealed to be Saint Rimoshifu Killingham and Saint Sommers in One Piece chapter 1140. Meanwhile, Shamrock was called back to Marijoa to deal with the threat of the Revolutionary Army, and the other three were to kidnap the Giant children and take them back to Marijoa for some reason.
The Big Elbaf Fights Are Coming
Now that it’s clear that the Holy Knights are supposed to be the main enemies in the Elbaf arc of One Piece, fans know what to expect from the story moving forward. There will most definitely be a major battle, but the Straw Hat Pirates won’t head into battle with all guns blazing, and there’s a big reason for that. The Straw Hat Pirates aren’t even aware of the existence of the Holy Knights at the moment. Furthermore, Luffy and Zoro are currently headed to the Underworld, and their goal is to free Loki to figure out where Shanks is. As such, this leaves the remaining members of the Straw Hat Pirates to deal with the threat that the children face at Walrus School. Things are going to be very complicated as the plot moves forward in One Piece.
Luffy Vs Loki
The very first major battle that fans will see soon now will feature Luffy and Loki. This is a clash that’s bound to happen even though Loki isn’t necessarily a guy. Loki has already been shown by the author to have a soft side, and more than that, possibly even being framed for the murder of King Harald. Loki most certainly isn’t the main villain of the Elbaf arc, but Oda does need to give fans a glimpse of what Loki is all about. This simply means that as soon as Luffy frees Loki, they will engage in a battle. Since Zoro is with Luffy, this also means that Luffy and Zoro could combine their forces against Loki and Oda will use this moment to hype up Loki. Furthermore, Sanji could also join in on this battle if the Straw Hats decide to pass through the banquet first before going to Loki. In that case, a battle between the Monster Trio and Loki is all on the cards already.
I’ll tell you where Shanks is, if you get the key to my chains. — Loki
The Holy Knights Vs The Straw Hat Pirates
While a fight between Loki and the Straw Hats is already set, Oda will most certainly use this opportunity to have the Holy Knights kidnap the kids of Elbaf. There will not be any major fighters around Walrus School to stop the Holy Knights. Perhaps, Scopper Gaban can make it in time, and if that’s the case, then fans have a very exciting battle at their hands. But, Scopper Gaban’s battle against the Holy Knights is not going to be the grand finale of the arc. Most certainly, the biggest battle that this arc has to offer will feature the Holy Knights, and that means the likes of Gunko, Saint Rimoshifu Killingham, and Saint Shepherd Sommers will be the ones to fight against the Straw Hat Pirates. Given that the Monster Trio is the strongest of the Straw Hat Pirates, fans will most definitely see them clash with this group. Perhaps, Shamrock will be involved once again as well, and if that’s the case, then fans will see Luffy Vs Shamrock, while Zoro could fight Sommers, while Sanji could take on Killingham, and potentially the likes of Loki taking on Gunko as revenge for what she did to him.
